Topic: Game Capture HD60 Pro "no signal"

I got a brand new HD60 Pro today and wanted to get it all setup for the Switch. Cables are in the right outputs, all drivers installed but the "no signal" message still persists to show. I have disabled and reenabled via device manager, uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers multiple times but the outcome is still the same

What on earth am i doing wrong? The switch is connected to the dock so that definitely can't be it. I have seen other people with the same issue, and even though i have tried their "solutions" none of them have worked for me

Any help would be greatly appreciated

My only experience is with the HD60 S but I know sometimes it will have the “no signal” issue if I open the capture software before turning everything else on or of I open it too quickly, I need to close the capture software and reopen it. Usually closing it out and reopening works.

Maybe try turning on the switch, your tv…. Then give it a minute and open the software on your computer. Also confirm that your capture card is selected under “device” in the sidebar. It might be different with the HD60 pro, but that’s my best guess.

@E_Gadds_Garage what do you mean by confirming the capture card in the sidebar, and does launching it on the TV first actually work?

@Sequisha if your using Elgatos Game Capture HD software, when you open it up look to the left. You should see listings for “device” and “game audio”…. Among others

Under device you should see a drop down box. Make sure you have the card selected in the drop down.

For the TV, yes I believe you should be able to see it there before needing to open the software as long as everything is plugged in. I’m no expert but hopefully that helps!

@E_Gadds_Garage thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it didn't help me as it still says "no signal". Factory reset, disabled/reenabled, updated drivers but still nothing works. Guess i'll keep looking around

Is the software recognizing the capture card?

When I bought an elgato, mine was an old model, so the default current version of the software didn't recognize it at all.

I got it to work by first installing and old version of the software (from around the same time as the capture card) that recognized the unit and allowed me to record with it, and then gradually updating it to newer versions, making small jumps to keep things from breaking. The software kept the profile and continued to recognize my capture card even on the newest version.

@Eel on the right hand side there is a picture of the capture card under the device sub category, which says no signal underneath it. I checked for updates and the latest one has already been installed

@Sequisha perhaps it could help to try uninstalling the software and stalling an older version, just to check?

It does sound like a weird problem.

@Eel tried it with an older version that was 2 updates behind, problem still occurred. Updated it to the newest and nothing changed. Really frustrating
