After Hyrule Warriors, looks like Fire Emblem is the next franchise that's getting the Warriors treatment. Makes sense considering the large cast of characters.
I guess it made sense to choose a bigger franchise like Zelda to get Nintendo fans used to Warriors type games, but Fire Emblem Warriors is definitely a better thematic fit.
Dragon Quest Heroes I + II coming to the Switch. So plenty of Musou games for the first year.
...Sigh...I guess that means I don't have to pick up the second one for the PS4...
Actually, I should start making a list just so I don't double-dip...I'm not used to that anymore...
But ANYWAYS!
I'm glad they took the next logical step, and I look forward to seeing what the gameplay will be like. I'm gonna go play Hyrule Warriors in the meantime.
I'm not the biggest Fire Emblem fan but it kinda doesn't matter. Hyrule Warriors is in my top 5 for most played games literally ever. I want more of it (tbh, if I had the time I would've 100% Hyrule Warriors, DLC included)
This game is total hype. Where are all the gamers that want to talk about these great games announced? Not even one single page of comments here for one of the most hyped games announced? Same for Xenoblade

@JaxonH Probably because they didn't actually show anything for this one. Even Xonoblade 2 had more distinct footage, and a bit more detail than "it's happening!" I mean, sure, I'm still excited, but I don't think "ZoOoOoOoMyyyyyGoOoOoOoD!!!" is gonna constitute a constructive post no matter how much I want it to be. I at least need to know what gimmick they're gonna go for before I can give my enthusiasm some kind of coherent form...
@CanisWolfred
That's true, but for me just seeing the name Fire Emblem was enough to have me jumping out of my chair.
There's much to discuss. We have a pretty good idea of what to expect thanks to Hyrule Warriors, but my mind is racing with all the possibilities. Who will be in it? What kind of moves with they have? What weapons? How will it look artwise?
I guess this game is coming this year, they are having a Direct on my birthday which is in like 72 hours. But I'm more perplexed by the lack of conversation in general, like with Xenoblade and Arms.
I remember the E3 2013 Direct and they showed 5 or 6 great titles (DKC, Mario, Smash, Mario Kart, Splatoon) and people were going wild. Nintendo shows same amount of great games at the hardware reveal for Switch (all of which are actually releasing within the first 9 months after launch) and everyone says how horrible the lineup is.
I'm genuinely perplexed.

Perhaps that's because they're storied franchises whom the people here have a lot more experience with? Personally, I haven't played enough Warrior games to even guess at what they'll do. The most I could do is try to guess what characters they'll add, which I'll admit, I expected to see more of around here....but then again, I'm not a huge Fire Emblem fan - I'm a casual fan of both franchises, but I felt that on the surface, the two had enough in common to make an enjoyable crossover.
Bring back Matt Mercer as Chrom and Ryoma and I'm happy. If they've made voiced cutscenes on the 3DS it would make sense to take the next step and make this game with full voice acting
@Grumblevolcano
Oh you're right. I get my e3's mixed up. Probably cause I loved the 2013 e3 more than anything, but others seemed to love the 2014 e3. Not that I thoughthink 2014 was bad by any means, but 2013 just nailed all my most wanted games. Of course, Splatoon was something I never knew I wanted until after I saw it.

@Arnold-Kage I don't know for sure since we just saw the swords of Fates, Awakening and Shadow Dragon in each of the orbs that went on the Fire Emblem, but I'm still holding onto hope.
At the very least, I'd like to have other characters as DLC in the game.
Just a few more days until the direct at least.
