@BruceCM yea maybe ill start doing some grinding then after this segment where i leave the town. Oh and I missed out on quina unfortunately. Hopefully I can make my way over there to grab him/her. I saw in a walkthrough where i missed it, so when i have a chance I'll go back and grab them. It wouldve helped with the battle im sure.
Sorry for The newbie type questions and me venting about bosses everyone 😂 bear with me everyone, please lol.
Hopefully grinding up a few levels will make the next few segments run a little more smoothly.
No problem, @NintendoByNature .... As I say, I don't really bother with Quina, anyway, so it's entirely possible to get past Antlion without it's assistance Frankly, the hassle for teaching it blue magic in this game is really not worth it! Once Garnet gets her summons, you won't think she's weak & you get another powerful mage later
Yeah, I didn't remember the exact level but I'm sure my party was 14/15 last time & that's with me knowing how to do it, @NintendoByNature .... I dunno if I should warn you about the next 'boss' fight, though. Hopefully, you kept an earlier save in case you want to go back & grind before it all
Not a main FF game, but after finishing 7 remake, I decided to finally play Crisis Core. Apparently the 2 games shared directors? Anyway, I can see why the game is seen in such a good light, it's very satisfying and quick to get into. The RNG is admittedly odd to get used to at first, but it seems balanced to feel fair overall. Leveling up being tied to a slot machine was weird, but it works out well. Story is interesting. Seeing Sephiroth pre-VII wasn't something I knew I wanted, but here it is.
Well, you definitely can't beat her, with all the boosts, @NintendoByNature.... The whole difficulty is staying alive a few rounds until she officially slaughters the party
@BruceCM got to the first save point in the fossil roos last night. I'm considering doing some grinding to get to a good safe point. I did struggle with the green snake like creature on the way in, but didn't struggle with lani. I couldn't find anywhere online what level I should be at. Any idea what level i should be at around this part of the game?
Bet you didn't find Tantarian, in the castle library while you were there, did you, @NintendoByNature .... ? My party was about level 17 at that point, I think! Save grinding until you get your awesome mage, though (you'll know when you have). Should have enough time to level her up before the next boss & there's a way to make that quite easy, anyway But good idea to aim for an average level 28/7 for then
@BruceCM I just spent a good hour or so grinding in the fossil roo.. went from garnet being my lowest party member of 14 up to 20. So you're suggesting I keep grinding away?
Oh and I used quina to learn new abilities by eating enemies. I got 3 new abilities from it though i forgot the names exactly( darkness, wind, and something else?)
Um, well, I recommended waiting to get your next character before grinding, @NintendoByNature .... ? You should gain a few levels between now & then, in natural progression Dunno about Quina's weird version of Blue Magic, since I don't tend to like that in any FF & it's even worse in this one but if you really want to eat things to learn stuff, carry on
