Maybe buy a cheap wired pro controller. I have seen them at places like Wal-mart for $20 and they might even be cheaper now that were getting into the holidays.

@RCheeBeast if you connect a controller to it the switch recognizes it as controller one, which is what it’s trying to do with the joycons right now, so yes. It will work
@RCheeBeast plan C: go to a local store where they have a demo model running and ask them if they'll let you use their joycons for a minute to finalize the reset. Good luck!
