Topic: DMC help needed

I'm debating whether to buy Devil may cry 3 on the switch but I haven't played the previous games will this be an issue or is each game their own separate story.

@Jrpglover Devil Mary Cry 3 is the prequel to the first game, so pretty much the first one happening. So... Nope, no problem.

Some people buy what is available for Switch on DMC and some buy the 3 in series and go back and buy the other two to replay the games. So it's gamer preferences if they play in series or which one is available for Switch at that time and go back to the other one.
