@XF1998 My brother got that for my nieces on xbox one. I've been surprised that game hasn't come to Switch. I think xbox/microsoft aquired that dev studio, and I can't help notice that Disneyland Adventure and Rush: Disney/Pixar Adventure(a similar looking...formula game) have been xbox exclusives, possibly because xbox owns those studios now.

Even though Disneyland Adventure got about a 68 on metacritic, I thought the disney mini games/environements were gorgeous/pretty cool, even if they weren't deep. I was hoping for a Disney World/Magic Kinddom version.

@jump!😠😠 haha, You rascal<33 😉

I would much rather have The Disney Afternoon Collection on Switch.

Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers and DuckTales are legit good games.

Switch Physical Collection - 1,519 games (as of November 1st, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 2 games (as of June 9th, 2025)

@Magician Agree. It's a mystery why these games aren't on the Switch. And yeah Ducktales and Chip n Dale are great. The others aren't bad just the quality isn't there. Darkwing Duck feels like a bad Mega Man game, Talespin is just awful and Ducktales 2 and Chip N Dale 2 just aren't as good as the first ones.

@WoomyNNYes In fairness I'm a sucker for theme parks (twice I was about to go to Disneyland Paris last year until the French announced last min you're required to do 7-day isolation period when coming into the country) so I might pick it up myself when it's on big discount sale.

Still it came across as another waggle era game filled with creepy interactions between children and Disney characters.

@Snatcher : And to think that even the Wii U got a physical release of that!

But yes to Afternoon Collection and any other classic games, especially if they entail re-releases of GB/GBC/GBA games.

I kind of wish that they would port over the story-telling and other educational CD-ROM games from the 90s as well. We now have the likes of Pajama Sam and Freddi Fish on Switch, after all, and they appear to be nothing more than barebones emulations/ports from the original Windows releases!

Porygon did nothing wrong.

You weren't wrong saying they should port a better game.😉 Disneyland Adventures isn't a masterpiece. It has metacritic of 68.😁 I totally know why others have said similar things above.(Athough I'm totally over 8bit-16bit 2d games Magician wants, but I know they are good games. I'm so over that older gen stuff, I can't go backward, but everyone will notice here, that I respect if other people like what they like, rather than putting things down. I know I like some crappy games!😀) If I had gotten Disneyland Adventures for myself, I don't know if would have tolerated the meeting of characters stuff that you have to go through at the game's opening. It definitely skews toward a very young audience. And it's a bit of work to walk around the park to get to the ride/mini-games, but the disney polish to the look of the games is quite impressive - they definitely have the look of disney magic (hope I'm not overselling it.) It's a shame there isn't a faster way to get around the in-game Disnleyland, California park. They could stand to streamline things, or offer a golfcart, or fun way to zip around the park. With a bit of work, the Disneyland Adventures could have easy gained a wider appeal. I think its a big missed opportunity.

If you can push through the character greets and kiddy stuff, get it on sale. I think my brother bought it digitally for $8 USD circa 2018 on xbox store (or whatever xbox calls their eshop). I honestly hesitate to recommend the game. I only got to play the games in it because, my nieces pushed played through the beginning of customizing the character and meeting mickey, and other characters & getting their signatures in-game. I think they liked that, actually. There's also some basic collecting/searching for things in the park, too. The park is good looking. (I'm going off my memory of playing it a few times back in 2018.)

Nintendzoey

I live in a country that does not have a Disneyland (and most probably never will). As a kid, in the 1980s, visiting Disneyland was only something that I could ever dream about. When this game was first released to Xbox 360 was around the same time that I finally was getting the chance to go to the USA. I purchased this game and gave it a play, it helped me to learn where the different lands were and how to get around. It was a big help because I did not get lost when I finally visited Disneyland for the first time.

@Magician Damn. Seeing that video makes me want to play Chip N Dale now lol. Such a classic game.
