Hello there!

I got myself a new data card for my nintendo switch cause the one i have is full.

I bought a 128 GB card and formatted it in my console.
The date from the old card, i saved on my laptop.

When i transfer the date to my new card and insert it in my console, i cannot acces the card.
I first have to erease it.
Obviously, the data is gone then!
Butm when the data is gone, i can acces the card perfectly.

How can i manage to get the data on the card so i can use it?

Thanks !

As far as I know you can't transfer data except Screenshots and Videos. Downloaded games need to be redownloaded from the eShop. Savedata is stored on the console anyway.

@m1982 So, were you able to transfer games to a new card?
This page is from Nintendo of North America. I assume it should have the same info as Nintendo UK's directions, which BruceCM shared above.

Sorry, it has been a busy weekend !

Apparently, I assumed that with transfering al the data also al the games were visible at the new card, but clearly not.

Thats is what it is.
The data that can be saved is on the new card, and the games which we have bought has te be redownloaded (free) from the e-shop again. That also worked perfectly !

I think that is kind of security Nintendo build in..

But for now, it works like it should be.

Thanks for your help !
