Coming to Switch sometime this year with some exclusive content, I first saw this last year on Steam but I passed on it because I was too busy playing other games. RPGs are always my jam though, and if this delivers I'm all for it.
Did some Googling and apparently there were some weird issues with people not being able to go beyond 60fps, so personally there'll be no bonus for me playing on PC if I can't play on 144fps. Although indies are better on Switch than PC imo, so I'm still just gonna get this on Switch.
Overall though, this looks great. Definitely going to pick it up whenever I can.

I run a YouTube/Twitch channel for fun. Check me out if you want to!
Please let me know before you send me a FC request, thanks.
@darkfenrir Thanks. Just gave it a shot, and I'm liking what I'm playing. I don't like how melee and ranged attacks work though. I'd rather have an option for it to be separate than have both within the same button.
And it's most likely because I was playing it on a browser, but it was not running at 144fps for me, it was still 60fps. Will mean nothing to 99% of people here but still.
Although I would like to try it with a controller. I wonder how they got that working on dual analog. Gonna switch gears to a different game tonight though.
@EvilLucario No prob, glad you like it! I played it exclusively on controller and they just put the second analog for the ranged attack. Overall works real fine
Started playing it this weekend (PC gamepass) and I am loving it! The combat is snappy and engaging the puzzles are challenging enough and the story is fairly compeling.
It is a shame that from what I read today the switch version has some issues (not sure if they were resolved at a later date by patches).
Is anyone else enjoying it?
@Balta666 I've downloaded it twice but not got around to playing it yet - way to many games on gamepass and not enough space on my Series S.
Have you played the Ori games yet?
@Mr-Fuggles777 actually I just talked about the Ori games on the "what have you recently beat" forum lol.
I have played the first one on switch when it came out and was not a fan (does not feel like a metroidvania to me as you are never lost, the combat was kind of cluncky and the visuals while beautiful were distracting at parts where was not easy to see what was front ir background.
Therefore I dismissed the sequel but I have recently got into PC gamepass and well I actually enjoyed this one a lot (still not as an metroidvania but as platformer/brawler) as there are many sidequests that are cool and there are a lot of upgrades to suit different styles and I found the visuals way less distracting (it could be that is because I was playing as a smooth 1080p 60fps (I did not upgrade yet my monitor)
After dabbling with Nier Automata for a while I hopped over to this for the first time. I think this is pretty fantastic; although CrossCode is an action-based rpg and not turn-based, I think this one has a better sci-fi vibe than its contemporaries (Cosmic Star Heroine, Star Renegades, etc). It kind of feels like a 2D version of Phantasy Star Online. I'd even rate this higher than either of the Sword Art Online games available on Switch.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,241 games (as of March 23rd, 2024)
