Hi! I will try my best to explain this without confusing myself let alone everyone else!

Had a Switch for the kids for 2 years. 2 profiles on the Switch.
Got a Switch Lite for myself. Signed upto Nintendo Online.
Primary account on the Switch signed up to 7 day trial, expired & then paid for 1 month subscription.
Discovered Family Membership. Cancelled account on Switch & took Annual Family Subscription on Switch Lite.
Added Switch to membership.
Secondary profile on Switch needs adding to family membership. Tried going through all steps, created login, password etc...

I don't know how to get the newly created login (from desktop Nintendo site) onto the Switch profile to enable that profile to be added to the membership?

That's soooo confusing but I don't know how else to explain Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

**** Not sure if this helps or is relevant but basically we all play Animal Crossing New Horizons. My account on Switch Lite & Primary account on Switch are able to use all online features but the other account on the Switch isn't able to?

@Claire79 So, even though you bought a family membership, each of other accounts require a unique email address (which is a pain if you have kids too young for email). On Nintendo's website, you'll need to create new accounts for the the other family members. While logged into your main Nintendo account on Nintendo's website, there is an option to add family member. I think you put the email addresses of the other accounts in there. (This makes your main account the admin). After you've put the other email adresses in there, those other accounts will become part of your Switch Online family membership.

Regarding Animal Crossing New Horizon, unfortunately, you cannot transfer game progress to another console. Stupid? Yes. But Nintendo says that ability is coming before the end of 2020. Granted that's not helpful now. Reason for the restriction is to prevent hacking/cheating the game. This nintendo support page mentions ACNH game progress cannot be transfered, if you wanted to see something official. It's in the game's fine print on the case & game's eshop page too. Too easy to miss, unfortunately.

Let me know if you have other questions.

I will say Nintendo's support line is good, but since the outbreak, I'm not sure Nintendo's support phone line is running or not. Email may be the only channel. Possibly a chat messenger. See their contact page if you want to go that route in the future.

Click on the top right image of your mii
Go to account settings.
Go to family group and add every user you have for the switch with email. Up to 8 for a family group. Children accounts are added as supervised and use you main email.
Hope it helps
