@Silly_G It seems I might actually appreciate this game more due to the fact I haven't played the DS version, because I went into it just expecting a collection of games without many extra bells and whistles, and that's what it is. I can see myself playing it for quite a long time - at least until I've got all the medals - but at some point in the future I'll take your advice and buy the DS game.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Switch Online
Darts is so good, it could have easily featured in Wii Sports right alongside Bowling, and it would have stolen the spotlight. I’m blown away by how good Darts is. It feels like you’re actually playing darts!
Also, Yahtzee is brilliant.Years ago, me and my friend would play all the time. He was a diehard Yahtzee addict and taught me how to play. Actually shaking the joycon and having it shake the cup with the dice, with HD rumble making it feel like you have the cup in your hand feels absolutely incredible.
Those two games alone make this entire collection worth it. And chess, air hockey and golf, all the card games, billiards and bowling. Those are nice too.
But Darts and Yahtzee steal the spotlight. And that’s surprising because I was going into this expecting the bowling to be my favorite game. And don’t get me wrong, I like it a lot but... Darts and Yahtzee happened.

It's funny how I've seen many people talk about darts in Clubhouse Games but no one has compared it to WarioWare: Smooth Moves which also had motion control darts despite all the comparisons to Wii Sports and Wii Play when it comes to other games in this collection. Darts wasn't perfect back then but I still played it quite a few times. We used to play Smooth Moves every time I had friends visiting. Why isn't there a WarioWare game on the Switch yet? Joy-Con are perfect for it.
What I meant to say is I've yet to play darts in Clubhouse Games so I can't compare them either.
@Late Fire Emblem's massive increase in popularity from Awakening onwards perhaps. Intelligent Systems does:
Fire Emblem
Paper Mario
WarioWare
Pushmo
Advance Wars
Fire Emblem gets a new game or remake every 2-3 years so 2021's Intelligent Systems game is probably a remake of Genealogy of the Holy War or Binding Blade (my guess is Binding Blade).
Paper Mario has a new game in July (Origami King).
Pushmo is generally an eshop title that appears out of nowhere.
Advance Wars has been on hiatus for 12 years and is seemingly still on hiatus (perhaps replaced by Fire Emblem).
@Grumblevolcano That's probably it. While I like Fire Emblem, I also see it as a double-edged sword. It completely killed off Advance Wars. I'd rather have a new Wars game than yet another Fire Emblem.
Also noticed that Mahjong Solitaire has a good amount of content in it. Bunch of stages with 3 star ranking system. Makes sense since the game is quite static otherwise.
I’ve been hyped for this game since launch, pre-ordered it and have been playing since launch. I’m having an absolute blast: the Wii series legacy lives on! The variety of fun games, the thoughtful attention to detail in terms of graphics, visual intricacies, sound design, music and stellar HD Rumble and motion control implementation all for an ideal price make this a game that I will play regularly for years to come and I hope it will see evergreen sales success throughout the rest of the Switch’s life. A few of my favourite games include Darts, Bowling, Billiards, Fishing, President, Last Card, Shooting Gallery, Dots and Boxes and pretty much the rest of the contents of the compilation. Just out of interest though, I have a very solid internet connection, but a few games I’ve had online have featured some horrific input lag, like 3 seconds sometimes. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, any potential solutions? Also, Bowling and Darts should ideally have three and four player support, but it’s no big deal. Perhaps a patch could remedy this but I won’t hold my breath.
We are having fun with this game. Having said that some of the games are virtually unplayable at the moment. The bowling game motion controls just do not work as intended. Hopefully this will get patched.
Btw don’t pay full price for this game, I got it twenty percent cheaper on shopto
they say that life’s a carousel, spinning fast you’ve got to ride it well. The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams. It’s heaven and hell.
@Bevinator Toy Curling and Toy Tennis are the biggest offenders. Toy curling has the worst controls of any game. It should control like Carrom and Billiards, but instead its just horrible. I understand what they were going for, but it just doesn't work. Toy Tennis, as I've stated previously, has hit detection issues, which makes it nearly unplayable.
With that said, there are some favorites, like Carrom, Mahjong Solitaire, Billiards, Toy Baseball and last card. Bowling is fun, just the controls are finicky, and sometimes you launch the ball in slow motion.
Me and the family are loving this game still. But, despite my stable internet connection, some games I’ve played have had some rather bad input lag. Now, this has only happened a few times, but some of the card games in particular have had up to three or so seconds of input lag and it isn’t particularly pleasant. Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, any solutions?
The lack of three and four player games Ona single console is really disappointing - quite why Yahtzee for example is only 1-2 player seems a bit strange. Does anyone know how many games support three players online? Does bowling for example? I might have to buy additional consoles for the household at this rate
I absolutely love golf on this thing in all its simplicity. The graphics are quite nice and HD rumble is amazing.
Appalling that there are only nine holes. I would gladly pay full-price for a fleshed out release with more of this. I've played through the meager selection of holes repeatedly over the weekend. Such wasted potential as it is one of few activities that really should have had a little more put into it.
@Leecpfc : It's even more disappointing when you realise that the original DS game supported up to eight players with quite a few of its activities, including bowling and most of the card games.
I don't know what the hell they were thinking by limiting most of the activities to just two players.
The game itself, what's actually there, is quality. But as others have said, there's a lot "what could have been" scenarios. There are a ton of features, big and small, that would up the score for this game instantly.
But for what it is, the ability to play the games with friends locally with only one copy of the game and the overall quality of (the majority of) the games, I'm happy with it.
I'm hoping NDCube will release some additional content/patches for it, but I'm not holding my breath.
In the end, I'd say it's a quality game to serve as a time-killer, distraction or something to play while you're watching TV or for some quick games on the road or on a break. And it's infinitely better if you have friends with you to play with.
Hi, any idea about why do we have the 2 players option greyed out?
We are two players trying to play with the same console, but we have just 2 joycons, those coming with the Nintendo Switch.
We have detached the joycons (red and blue) and we configured them as joycon 1 (red) and joycon 2 (blue), but it's impossible... we have 2 players option greyed out and I only can play as 1 player against CPU.
Any idea about how two players can play using the same console?
Can someone explain how to hit hard in 8 ball? Sometimes I pull the que all the way back hoping to smash it only to find I just finesse it gently🥵 very frustrating on the break... why does that happen?
