Topic: Clear dock sock?

Hey y’all I know this is odd. But the idea of a dock sock makes sense to me but my dock is custom painted, so I still want to see it. Does anyone know of something that would solve my problem?

A ziplock bag might work while you find something fancier.

@Joeynator3000 I’m fairly sure they simply want something to cover the switch dock when not in use, that allows them to still see the custom design.

@Eel ...Oh. First time I've really heard "dock sock" so I was thinking...like...putting the dock in a giant sock or something and going "wtf?". xD

Yeah, a plastic bag. If it's going to be see through is not like there are many other materials around, unless there is some sort of crazy quantum fabric that does spooky stuff

@Rambler there’s clear vinyl that can be used to make what they want, but it would likely need to be custom made, since I don’t think I’ve ever seen a switch dock cover made out of it (likely because it would be dangerous if the user left the console connected and turned on, due to overheating and all that)

Vinyl is plastic, isn't it? But yes that would be me trying to stretch the definition of a plastic bag a bit too far!!

I'm totally thinking of the dock being empty, but yes, with the switch in it, it needs airflow, so anything hindering that is a potential issue.

Perhaps I used the wrong term. I mean the cover you put over the face plate to stop the dock from scratching the switch when you dock it.

I have 2 ideas. Sewing machine covers often come in clear/transparent and you could buy and mod one.

Also you could get a perspex terrarium just big enough to cover it. I had a pet jumping spider in a small terrarium which would be too small to cover the switch but they come in all shapes and sizes. I’m sure you can by the panes separately and then glue them together to get the perfect fit.
