A Friend gave me a recipe card before I could cook. It was placed on the ground and I was unable to pick it up. we assumed it was because I couldn't cook yet. Now I can, and I still can't pick it up, and when she visits, she is unable to pick it up as well.
@Eagly My inventory has room. I was given this recipe before I had the ability to cook. Even when my daughter comes to my island, she can't pick it up either. It was beside a tree. I chopped the tree down, and can't pick it up, can't dig a hole there either....
I'm new to this type of thing.... How do I Ask that person? I waited to see if they may have seen that post, but there's been no more answers, so how would I go about contacting him/her?

Hello.
I think the problem might be from these situation.
1. You haven't get registered as Best Friend so you are unable to pick items from the ground on somebody's island and vice versa.
2. Glitch. Might be the glitch happened from older version, try to update your ACNH.
