Topic: Cant delete other playable character in ACNH

So my brother made an alt user on my Switch and made a character in ACNH. Well, then he was done and so I deleted the user because I thought it’d erase all the data from ACNH too but it didnt, and so the charscter he made is still there, so how do i get him off my island. He hadnt set up his tent yet, so it has his residence as the Resident Services building.

I can't find the other person who had this issue, but I think what they did (or what people recommended to do) was creating a new user profile to see if the existing character gets tied to that. If it works, press - on the title screen to access the menu where you can delete the character.
