Topic: Can’t Download

I just want to start out saying my internet is pretty bad. About 5 mbps down and 2 mbps up. I normally buy physical copies of games for all my consoles (Switch, PS4, Xbox) but under the circumstances GameStop is closed, forcing me to download Animal Crossing New Horizons. I’ve never had trouble before downloading games from the eShop. I’ve downloaded Pokémon Quest and Mario Odyssey, but for some reason Animal Crossing says it will take 99 hours. I’ve down just about everything I can in the settings and even reset my router. I don’t know what to do at this point.

Sounds like there is a run on the eShop. You might want to download at nights to avoid the downloading bottleneck.

@SwitchForce Yeah I’m going to try it tonight and see if it makes a difference. Tomorrow if it hasn’t made much progress I plan on emailing/calling my internet provider and maybe nintendo to just check if it’s my end or someone else’s.

The Switch can download in sleep mode. May want to download overnight and see if it’s ready in the morning
