Hi there! We’re redoing the layout of our living room and are thinking about getting a very long Samsung One Connect cable for our Samsung OLED TV such that the One Connect box is way to the side of the living room in a bookshelf. This would mean that the Switch console would also be along the left wall of the living room rather than next to the TV. Would this cause any issues with using wireless controllers for the switch? Like do the controllers need to be directly facing the Switch in order to motion sense and work correctly? Thanks.

@Darcone The controllers are wifi/bluetooth. So, direction doesn't matter. A console off to the side should be fine. But things that can cause bluetooth interference still apply. In nintendo supports troubleshooting for joycons and pro controllers, one of the solutions is removing cell phones, or other bluetooth devices, tablets with bluetooth on (just move them farther away, or don't have them set between the console and controllers). But this issue is mainly a rare occurance, just be aware of it. An unobstructed path between the controller & console is probably beneficial.

Regarding distance, I think you still want to be within 20 feet of the console? I don't know the controller specs well enough to say what console to controller distances are reliable.

Thanks for your thorough reply! The living room is not hugely big so I don’t think that distance will be an issue.
