I have an account that is registered 16 years old and i am about to buy skyrim which is 17+, would it work if i bought the code from amazon and then registered it onto the account or would it not allow me to do so?
@MarcelRguez its actually the account itself, i cannot view games like doom and skyrim because the account is not eligible to do so. It is registered to the year 2002. If i had for example bought the code on amazon and put it in the redemption bar on eshop, would it not allow me too?
@gabriel0299 For real? That's the weirdest thing, but I guess it's Nintendo being Nintendo.
I guess I can't help you with that, but my gut says you probably can't. You'll either need to register a new account into the system or get a physical version.
@Kiolu100 yeah, i am going to get the code for skyrim and try to redeem it on the current account, but just to be safe i have made another account where i can put the code in if it doesnt work the first time. I'll post results here later.
Maybe there is an option for parents and the administrator of the account (you in this case I presume) can decide to activate or not games with age restrictions... Because otherwise Bayonetta 1 & 2 should be hidden as well I think
I used to be a ripple user like you, then I took The Arrow in the knee
@MarcelRguez So good news, it worked without any hesitation. I put in the code and nothing about the age rating seemed to affect. Im thinking that they don't allow users who have accounts under 17 to view the eShop pages themselves, based on the imagery and/or gore.
