@Magician Thanks, should be a good port then. I'm buying these purely in memorandum anyway but it will be nice when I actually decide to play later if they run well.

I'll be all over of these if there's 1. a physical release and 2. If they run natively. If not...Well, I might cave for Arkham Asylum regardless since I've never played it (Watched a playthrough however). I still have Arkham City on the Wii U and quite enjoyed it. I don't see how the first two can't run natively. It's Arkham Knight I'm concerned about. If I recall, it had some major graphical issues and bugs when it first launched.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
@Grumblevolcano well the Bioshock collection was not like that. It was useless. The RE triple pack at least had codes to give away. Same with Borderlands.
I think that a 16gb could fit both Asylum and City.
There is confirmation on the WB FAQ that only Asylum will be on the cart and the other 2 will require downloads.
It doesn't sound that they will be codes though as you will still need the cart to play City and Knight.
@Chaotic_Neutral Considering the stories I've heard about Knight's performance on more powerful hardware, this does not inspire much confidence for the Switch port if I'm to be completely honest 😬
(I'm probably just going to try the series on PS3 first since they're much cheaper than current re-releases but I'm going to be silently praying that this collection runs well since it'd be great to have these games on a portable for the first time)

@Fizza they weren't very well optimised for the PS5/Series X so it will be interesting to see how they run on Switch.
Hopefully they will be great as I would love to play these fully portable.
The state of the physical release will determine my support or not.
If AA is the only game on the cartridge, and AC and AK are separate downloads...
...if this trilogy is priced at $40, I might be alright with that.
If AA and AC are on the cartridge, and AK is a separate download...
...if this trilogy is priced at $60, I might be alright with that.
If all three games have portions on the cartridge and three games require a download, that would be unacceptable...at any price. We don't need more useless "physical" releases like BioShock: The Collection.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,537 games (as of December 22nd, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
@Chaotic_Neutral So it'll either be like Spyro, Assassin's Creed or Final Fantasy X/X-2. The Spyro trilogy had Spyro 1 on the cart and Spyro 2+3 was added as part of a day 1 update. Meanwhile the AC collections had the first game of each collection (AC2 and Black Flag) on the cart while the other games (Revelations + Brotherhood for Ezio Collection, Rogue for Rebel Collection) were free downloads from the eshop acting as DLC. Final Fantasy X/X-2 was like Assassin's Creed but instead of free downloads on the eshop acting as DLC, X-2 was a DLC code included in the box.
Q: Does the Nintendo Switch physical version of Batman: Arkham Trilogy include all three games on one cartridge?
A: Batman: Arkham Asylum will be included on the Batman: Arkham Trilogy game cartridge. Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight will require an online connection to download and install both titles when the Batman: Arkham Trilogy cartridge is inserted into the Nintendo Switch console. All three games will then be playable as long as the cartridge is inserted into the Nintendo Switch console.
@FragRed Not 100% sure yet. Import retailers have it listed between $50 and $60. It varies from retailer to retailer. All the Murican listings seem to have the msrp at..."to be determined"...?

@Magician Ah okay, guess it’s best to wait until we get official confirmation on the price point. But I have a bad feeling it’s going to be in that ballpark.

Arkham Knight will likely be fine. It's all about who does the porting. It struggled on PC at launch because it was a bad port. Lots of games struggle on PC as bad ports and then come to Switch with extremely high quality, competent releases. Nier Automata comes to mind. XCOM 2 comes to mind (and I know it wasn't perfect but given the state of the PC release it was beyond anyone's expectations).
The guys who did Tony Hawk and Borderlands are working on this. That should inspire confidence.
That's not to say we should completely rule out the possibility of Knight being subpar, but given the studio's exemplary track record and the fact they ported it at all, that leads me to believe it'll be just fine. Otherwise they'd have just ported Asylum and City in the same package PS4/X1 got and called it a day. The fact they went for Knight also tells me they know what they're doing.
But hey, even if it's not as good as the other two, the real prize here is the other two.
@FragRed
That's $20 a game, for competent Switch versions of some of the best AAA games ever made. I'd hardly cry foul about that. LA Noire was $40 for a single 360 game. Borderlands Legendary Collection was $60 and that was also 3 AAA games from 7th gen. There's probably many other examples. Resident Evil Triple Pack. This is standard pricing.
But hey, that's what sales are for. If you feel a price is too high for you personally, grab it on sale. Price you pay for that is time. So either way you're paying, just a matter of what type of currency you'd rather spend.

@JaxonH I get what you’re saying. I’m sure by the time it comes out and assuming Dark Knight runs well, I’ll end up triple dipping. Because I do love the first two games. They’re just amazing so playing them on the go is a win. It’s just my initial hesitation.
