@RetroGamerAndrew Nightmare. When I had that issue on Aero Fighters 2 I reset scores and it says the next score you register will overwrite it but it didn't. They were all lower scores but going by what it said they should have registered. Then the next time I put it on it had my registered score as a paltry 91k. It's like it registered the lowest of my scores. I beat it on my first attempt and that time it registered and worked fine from then on.

I've never played a Cave shooter but I assumed Danmaku was one of theirs. So Danmaku is actually a style of shooter then?

Be warned, I think we are indeed stressing out Hamster's servers. I have not had any high score loss on the previously weeks but I did notice a few freak occurrences happening, like having a different high score registered on the servers for Aero Fighters 2 despite having a lower score on top of the ingame table.

@meppi64 @oorwullie So in theory, would you fellas be up for a (casual and flexible) semi-regular as we can manage gaming night where we play this STREET FIGHTER collection. No idea if we can do tournaments or some such?

@OorWullie well, I'm going down the ladder reset route then. I'm posting my current standing on Twitter just to track my previous score, hope to improve between now and Thursday (and lets hope -finger crossed- it will get updated)

@RetroGamerAndrew Cool. Sorry to hear about the SHOCK TROOPERS scores not registering properly for you and @meppi64 - as I mentioned last time when @oorwullie had an issue with AERO FIGHTERS 2. It might be worth checking the options/settings of the Hamster UI. They have an option about whether you want to upload your scores or not. I don't know whether turning that on/off or checking what it currently is will help jolt it back into action.

Rock and a hard place, you don't want your new high scores not to register but you also don't want your current impressive high scores to be removed either.

@RetroGamerAndrew I've had this happen. Oddly though, it fixed itself on my end after a few hours, and putting my Switch to sleep. This sucks, for sure.

@Lroy I'll be playing the SF collection as well.

To anyone considering the SF Collection but being timid about playing it with folks because you don't match up...can I just say, as a FGC member, the best thing you can do is find a few good friends to teach you the ropes and you'll get where you need to be. Fighting games are much like...well, training in boxing. It takes an understanding before you can visualize. Then, as you can start to visualize the fights, you can begin to react in the fights. And in time reaction becomes muscle memory. But above all of it, you just need to take the steps to 1) want to be better at it and 2) willing to dedicate the time to get better at it. And with friendly sparring partner, you will get better.

Having someone whoop you in a fight is one thing - and for beginners, usually not very helpful - but having that same person explain what you could have done to change the fight is most important. And I've learned that making the competition around you just means that the entire community gets better. So, don't be shy. I'll definitely take the time to whoop you and teach you how to whoop me in return.

@Qualitybeats Thanks. Lots of great advice there. Looks like we might be able to get a fair few of us together then for some SF game nights. I'll start putting some pennies aside for the game as I was 50/50 on whether to put my limited gaming cash towards this collection or not.

Sadly this will be my only chance to plays some Shock Troopers this week, so here are the best two runs of about 6 or 7 I managed to complete. I can't believe I died on the boss on that second run.

To make it up for you guys, please have some Switch docked footage for Danmaku Unlimited 3. Yep, it runs just as good as the PC version.

Scored 3475500 and it didn’t register it.
Then I scored 3258500 and again it didn’t register it but at least this time I was prepared and I snagged a picture. It doesn’t even ask me if I want to overwrite my previous score?!
Still, this sucks and it completely demotivated me in pursuing the highscores any further...

Haven't had the leaderboard update glitch happen to me yet, knock on wood, but I'm wondering if this is only happening to the UK/EU player here?

Currently, my biggest issue is the soldiers who move backwards and timing my rolls to bypass their shots fast enough to stab them while they're in attack stun. But if I can't get better at that, 3.4M~3.6M might be the best I can turn in. I hope I can make some kind of breakthrough. Just need to wait a bit, I'm letting the attract mode work through some faint image retention on my plasma :-/

@Lroy I'm pretty much getting it for Super Turbo, Alpha 3, and 3rd Strike. But it's not a high priority for me just yet. I'll see if there's a sale or something (maybe a July 4th sale, here in the States, that is).
