Agreed. The amount of Kirby is ridiculous. But you know that HAL labs has no shame and will release a Forgotten Land sequel before the Switch is over. Kirby should have gone 3D 5+ years ago on the 3DS.

@rockodoodle Lots of Kirby is normal for anniversary celebrations (honestly Kirby anniversaries are handled the best out of all Nintendo's franchises), sure I wasn't expecting a Return to Dream Land remaster but it was a nice surprise and it makes sense especially with the original becoming extremely rare after March 2023.

@rockodoodle HAL have certainly been busy. Who knows, maybe they have their eyes on a Kirby movie eventually.

I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.

Nintendo doesn’t do much for anniversaries….this looks like filler to me. Granted, I kinda like Kirby, so it’s hardly a bad thing. Honestly, tho, I don’t care if it’s a slow or perceived to be slow year for Nintendo. I have an immense backlog and plenty to play on other systems.

I mean that's stupid on the face of it since the Kirby games are all Hal and literally no other Nintendo developer (outside of Epic Yarn), as always. But even ignoring that, I'd bet money they decided to intentionally release all these Kirby games within a year to match the anniversary.

People who pay attention to these things would've noticed that despite releasing Kirby games all the time since the series started, there'd only been one random, fairly unremarkable F2P Kirby game in the 4 years between Star Allies and Forbidden Land, so I don't think they magically made 2 more in less than a year.

I think it's too early to worry about it, and 2022 has been a killer year anyway. As mentioned there's already BotW 2 and Pikmin 4 scheduled, and Eiuyuden Chronicle is a day-one purchase for me. Personally I hate the direction Fire Emblem took with Awakening but I know a lot of people liked Three Houses, so Engage is a pretty big heavy-hitter. And the virtual console still has some growth left in it (fingers crossed for Perfect Dark and Pokemon Stadium). Given that the fiscal year isn't even two weeks in, I'm sure we'll get a handful of Nintendo Directs. I think the Switch has a good two years left in its life cycle. The hardware is less than stellar but Nintendo can still work its magic with relatively inferior tech, as they've shown for like 15 years now.

Also speaking of Kirby, I checked the price of Dream Collection (with the outer sleeve) on ebay and it's upwards of $140. I don't intend on selling it but that's kind of neat.

Anyone making comments about not having Switch in 2023 is truly misguided here. No Man Sky just release and we got more coming in 2023 so how one can say nothing is coming for just fueling NintenDoomed fandom patronages.
