I can't access the Brewster quest line to get the roost. I updated to version 2.0, the other features of 2.0 are here such as walking sideways in between items, the stretching in plaza. I have closed Animal crossing and opened it after update, I have reset my switch and entered Animal crossing and still no Brewster quest

I've also checked and Harv's island is still a single building and not the giant campsite thing shown in the animal crossing 2,0 direct.

I downloaded and installed the happy island (locked until tomorrow) DLC as well.

Why am I unable to access the Brewster quest and expanded Harv island parts of the 2.0 Animal crossing update?

I also have no access to the new ordnances in 2.0 update

After I did the 2.0 update, Isabelles morning announcement were normal ( have a camper in tent) no mention of any ordinances.

I haven't submitted any art to the museum, blathers mentioned a shady character in town (redd) but had to go to work so I didn't have time to speak to redd that day. Redd hasn't come back to my town yet ( three weeks ago got told about redd)

I entered Harv's house and got tutorial about modeling like 2 week ago but no mail telling me about upgraded Harv island (yet)

You do have to have the art section of the museum opened to get the quest to find Brewster from Blathers.

Okies, so what's the trigger for ordinances and expanded Harv's island?

That seems like something Nintendo (or Nintendo Life lol) should have mentioned or possibly mention. That to access certain parts of the 2.0 update, player must reach certain gameplay milestones (depending on the 2.0 activity Brewster, ordinances, Harv island etc etc.)

Hey! My friend has the same exact problem. We think it's because she doesn't have 4 Stars. I heard it from somewhere that you need 4 stars to get does things so maybe that's the reason? May I ask how many stars does your island have?

1 star lol I. was going to begin the process of upgrading island to 5 stars 'beat' the game, but seeing Nintendo make the troll move of locking free features of the game behind progress milestones and not even telling the players about the features being locked has drained most of the enthusiasm I had when I downloaded the 2.0 update.
