@Xyphon22 : I have had Julian since (almost) day one, and he's the only long-running villager of mine who has yet to give me his photo. Daisy, Goldie, Rod, and Raddle were quick to give me their photos though as I had been spoiling them rotten with super-expensive gifts (which I believe may help). It bums me out when they pack away those expensive items though.
@Cosmofantasmo@Silly_G Yeah, the only thing I can think of is maybe I haven't been giving expensive enough gifts. She's a normal type whose house is full of plain wooden furniture (I don't know what this "music house" is, but I think I've heard that villagers have different houses if they are one of your first 5 or something, so that may be it), so I've generally been giving her normal and plain furniture. Maybe if I give her more expensive stuff she'll pony up. But I've gotten 6 photos from others so it's just been weird that this one will not give me hers.

Yeah, forgot about that! Totally right. I can tell you, her “real” house looks like a music school. I wish there was an easy way to change that. I had Stiches as my third villager and he got this brown earth/wood interior but his true house looks like a children’s room.
Oh, and give Deena a little more expensive stuff, that will help.
Guys I think I have a problem. I just realized that my mailbox got full today and I've been expecting 4 gifts, but none of them have arrived. I got rid of some letters, but it doesn't seem to get the job done. Please tell me that the gifts will still arrive...

Sad way to learn this. But good to know. I really thought when the limit is reached the new letters will kick out the oldest which is not marked as a favourite.
So the task for today is to delete letters.
@Cosmofantasmo Yeah I really thought that was the case. Didn't it say something like non-favorited letters will be deleted after 90 days? Really hope that Nintendo can fix this.
But yeah, just a PSA for everyone who reads this post. Delete your letters or you're not getting any mail.

I visited a series of Islands via their dream address this afternoon (not all from this community), and it struck me how few like to live among their fellow man (animal).
That being said, when I was first developing my island, I must admit I fenced off a large island in the center so I could create my own mansion, but I scrapped that when I redid the island.
I'm planning to redo the island a second time, as I said in an earlier post, but I've created a dream address that shows the island in this state. I'll now begin relocating every building, and demolishing every bridge and slope before then reshapong the island.
