Well, now that we have an official name for the thing, what's everyone's opinion on it? Personally, I like it. It's nothing remarkable, but after the New 3DS and Wii U situations, I think it was best that they picked a name that didn't obfuscate the system's intent.
it's the smart name, from a business perspective. But it's certainly the most mundane choice. If Iwata were still around, it would be called the Switch Snap. Actually if Iwata were still around, they'd have another console entirely, but alas
@N00BiSH I also like the Switch 2 name. I was a bit surprised that Nintendo is going the PlayStation route with how they named their next console, but it was a good move on their part. It is certainly a better name than Wii U, that's for sure... when most people thought it was just a new controller for the Wii. I could see everybody knowing right away that the Switch 2 is Nintendo's brand new system.

@Matt_Barber Even though they’ll keep going with the Switch form factor for many years (and of course, numbering them), that doesn’t mean they can’t innovate with the design.
Next thing we know, we could actually get the Nintendo DSwitch.
