Topic: The European My Nintendo Store now has Switch 2 preorders open for everyone, no invitation needed

Just wanted to let those of you know who hadn't alread preordered it. The price is still the same, so 470 euros for the base version and 510 euros for the Mario Kart pack. I guess there was no major shortage of the consoles here in Europe after all?

Yeah unfortunately the U.K. still has it as an invite only deal. But they seem to struggle to get enough stock to us here looking at how fast they sell out in online retailers. So I suppose this makes sense.

That's interesting, I didn't know the U.K. was an exception here. Maybe it's because of Brexit?

I just checked the UK Store and it looks like they don't need invites at all now?

This is also the case for the microSD Express cards, those were also behind invites.

The GameCube controller was also behind the invite system, but that was made open earlier already.

@RupeeClock You still need a paid subscription to make the purchase which I no longer have as of last year. So while it’s no longer invite only, the fact you have to have a paid subscription is kinda crappy if you ask me.

It seems the Switch 2 is not available for preorder in the U.K. anymore, but it's still available in other European countries. I guess they must've had only a limited amount of consoles with the U.K. specific AC adapter, whereas the situation is better with the rest of Europe since most of us use the same Euro standard adapter.
