Nintendo Switch 2 is almost here, check out our guide: Nintendo Switch 2 Guide: Ultimate Resource.

I picked up the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch 2, but it's awful. It doesn't fit the screen properly and leaves bubbles.

Any one have any screen protector recommendations that they have successfully applied themselves?

I've checked the reviews of several, but it looks like all the 5-star ones came before the Switch 2 was released, so those reviewers probably haven't actually applied the protector.

I've seen people recommend Amfilm, but the reviews are mixed.

I think I got the same as you or from the same company at least (does it come with 2 screen protectors) but simply just couldn't apply the protector so just gave up in the end and I don't think I'll be trying the other one either and will probably just bin it.
I too am looking for a good quality protector that needs to be easy to install as I suffer from a disability that leads to fumbling/lack of coordination.. anyone know of one.

@kutekittysweet I used the amFilm 2 pack with alignment tool. https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Alignment-Protector-Accessories-I...

Got it on first try. I think I'm getting better with these. (Although, I've had practice since I did my launch switch, the oled, and my nieces switch.)

After you clean the screen, there's a tacky dust remover film to cover the screen with until you've got the glass w/ alignment tool ready.

If you get a bubble that can't be hand squeegeed out, you can lift a corner or end of the glass to unstick that part glass to let that bubble out and let the glass sit back down. Although, you might want a plastic spudger or guitar pick, something to lift the glass so you don't contaminate the adhesive with your finger.

I got a JSAUX one off Amazon. I've only just applied it, and I didn't bother using the placing tool, but it looks good so far.

It's a new product I got two packages of it and this weekend will go to install them on my two Switch 2. But if they are temper glass just match themselves up before sticking them on. Most temper glass should work but if you can get more the better. I read it too and was all smartphones. But for my options I would say the more temper glass the better. It's a learning curve every time to put a temper glasses.

Someone on here recommended this, and I have to second this recommendation. I have tried adding screen protectors in the past and have never been successful. With this one, I’m at a 100% success rate with 2 switches. Doesn’t even seem like I added anything

Just got done putting the Amazon temper glass on my two Switch 2. Messed up one but the next two went on without issues. I just had to use glass cleaner tissues in packs to clean both the under side of the temper glass plastic protector so dust is removed and clean the display from left to right gently and looking for dust and when it was clean I pealed the temper cover plastic and drop onto the Display and like smartphone press from center out and squeeze air pockets and they look good. Maybe micro dust or none but it seems good now.

I bought the Ivoler 3 pack Tempered Glass Protector from Amazon (UK) it was easy to use & went on bubble free.

@Jen10 the Ivoler 3 pack Tempered Glass Protector comes with an installation tool. How does that tool work? Thanks in advance.

There's 3 stickers that you put on the back of the Switch & the Screen protector which helps you line it up. you then peel the back off the screen protector & then place it on the Switch. There's a link in the box with an easy instruction video that shows you what to do.

My screen has a little scratch. It’s just superficial, and hard to see. I just docked it 2-3 times only before putting a screen protector.

I’ve seen a lot of people have this problem too and that it’s created by the plastic layer used by Nintendo (safety reasons). Objects in the 3 scale of hardness can impact easily the screen. I just docked it 3 times carefully.

Not that I’m mad, but I was a let down for sure.

Edit: just to clarify, the scratch can’t be seen with the console on. In fact, I think the screen protector (tempered glass) I put afterwards, makes invisible the scratch.

The spigen one initially had bubbles but by the morning they disappeared. It was so easy to install. I’d give it another shot. I'm really happy with it.

This is why I waited first to put the temper glass before using the Dock.

The switch 2 haves a protective layer applied to the screen that can be removed if you try that Nintendo says ā€œTO NOT DOā€ if a screen protector applied and if it needed to be removed would it then bring the protective layer with it?

Or would it be fine? Other devices also use protective layers now so it should be safe tho I thin.

The Onn (Walmart brand) screen protector seems to be very solid. Incredibly easy to apply, and barely noticeable once you have it on.
