I’ve been having this issue since day one. Finally decided to look into it after I saw the blackout pass through a capture card. That’s when I knew it wasn’t the LG TV itself.
I’m trying to remember if I saw it in my bedroom with a different TV and third party dock and the answer could be no. So, this could be the Nintendo Switch 2 dock as you say. I’ve switched off the power state thing. Let’s see if that’s it gone. Losing that function Doesn’t bother me anyway. Alexa switches my TV on or off for me.
I have to say though, seeing the topic for this on Reddit deleted or whatever (somehow still viewable) is quite sus. I had to call Nintendo Support for something else recently and their initial behaviour just didn’t impress me. Like their policy is to deny and cover up issues and hope customers simply walk away. After quoting the law to them, they reversed their original approach to my issue and I got the outcome I wanted.
@mcnaugha I mean, that's true of everyone. I'm not giving them excuses. But if you admit you did anything wrong, it costs you big. It's true if they did or didn't do something wrong.
It's pretty clear they did this to make it harder to hack the system and this is the result. I am mad at them but this isn't a grand conspiracy. It's the same way that if you say I'm sorry to someone after a traffic accident it could lead to you losing a lawsuit because it's considered admitting fault. Our society is ***** beyond words.
