Pikmin 3
Running at 60fps + 1080p, using the Switch 2 Joy-cons(With more ergonomic back side attachment peripherals)motion pointer cross hair aiming, with a sensor bar. HAS to have a sensor bar, or some kind of reference, or it's straight back to the Wii U version for me.
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Locked at 60fps + 1080p. No more immersion breaking frame rate stutters pretty please.
Mario Kart 9 & Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
With an optional VR mode, with VR Goggles(Sold Separately) that essentially use the Quest 3 as a template and 'best' it. This won't happen. lol
Kid Icarus Sequel, or Uprising Remaster
Wario Land 5
And i have zero desire to replay watered down versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, Village & 4 On switch, docked. They'll look a bit worse(At least Village and especially 4), run at a lower resolution and be capped at 60fps(RE2 & 3 run at 'up to 120fps' @1620p on Vanilla PS5 fyi) compared to what you get on PS5. And i highly doubt the Switch 2 Pro controller will have adaptive triggers, let alone 'super' HD rumble that surpasses the Dual Sense's Haptics.
Hopefully I'm wrong, and hopefully S2 when docked, offers something exclusive & entirely new with it's S2 Pro controller, that isn't capable on PS5. Other wise, why even bother with the top 4 games when the PS5 can run them that much better, again, if you specifically play docked?
The Wii had the huge benefit of aiming with the Wii remote(Also, shake & Tilt motion based controls) + Sensor bar, the Wii U also included it when the PS4 & XBOX One didn't and the unique exclusive features of the Wii U Game Pad. I guess Switch 2 will offer joy-con Mouse based aiming, which i know a LOT of people will love. But that just isn't for me. I'd rather use gyro cross hair aiming with a sensor bar using the S2 Pro Controller & joy-cons.
Either way, I still believe that RE Village(especially) & RE4 Remake are absolutely best experienced on PSVR2. I've already done both, and don't plan to go back to either, in VR and especially not on something like a 65" QD-OLED. On to the next one, be it Resident Evil Zero remake, or whatever they have in store for us next, with PSVR2 support.
BG3...we can get it right? FF series.....to current. Zelda open World...or Get Genshin Impact on Physical. I've put off Genshin off for so long since playing when it was available for PC. I don't want to be stuck on my Desktop with my GPU becoming a Heater. This is one game I want so badly to go Switch 2 now. So I can enjoy it again.
I am not sure if I'll get the Switch 2 right when it comes out or close to its release, but when I get it, I'd want to have the next Mario Kart, Super Mario (especially if it's a 3D platformer), Zelda, and Animal Crossing games. As for my expectations, I'm sure Mario Kart will be a launch title since it was the first game that was shown off in the reveal trailer, and some kind of party game along the lines of 1-2 Switch or Nintendo Land... preferably if it's the latter.

I don't know what I want, but what we're going to get is Odyssey 2 on launch day, followed by Twilight Princess in the fall, then Metroid Prime 4 this holiday.
I’m just really hoping they stopped supporting New Horizons after only a year and a half because that’s when they started working on the next Animal Crossing. This year would be a dream come true, and I don’t think it’s totally outside of the realm of possibility either. A huge part of moving from New Leaf to New Horizons was making EVERYTHING HD. Every character model, every piece of furniture, every fish, and so on. I’m hoping they used some of the work done on New Horizons to give themselves a head start on the next game so that they can hopefully focus on making an experience as content-packed as New Leaf but also on getting it to us more quickly than usual. November 2021 - Whatever 2025 is definitely a bit short, but I still think there’s a chance we see it this year.

I'm dying for a brand new re-invention of Starfox.
Something that falls between Starfox 64 and the Ubisoft game "Starlink" (which actually features Fox as a playable protagonist, in the Switch version at least). Take the best elements of those 2 games, and perhaps incorporate some kind of base building infrastructure - akin to NMS or even Starfield.
But basically a really wide scope space adventure game, with gunplay dog fights in space alongside rewarding exploration / ship customisation etc.
A Yoshi or a Kirby game. Or a new 3d Mario. I don't think that will be at launch though, as I think Mario Kart will be the killer launch title for them. I imagine it would follow late this year though.
When it comes to first party games, I don't really have a specific wishlist. I just want Nintendo to have some good variety in their lineup as I usually prefer their more niche offerings like Metroid, Xenoblade, etc. I do like Zelda but I'm not expecting a new game for that series at launch. Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD ports would be welcomed but I wonder if they'd even re-release those if we get GameCube VC with NSO on Switch 2? Metroid Prime 2 and 3 before or after Prime 4 would be nice too.
However, there are some third party games I'd like to see ported:
KINGDOM HEARTS - HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX (must be a native port or I don't care) ARMORED COREâ„¢ VI FIRES OF RUBICON Metaphor Refantazio Persona 3: Reload Tales of Arise Balder's Gate 3 Fields of Mistria Bleach: Rebirth of Souls
