I’m sticking with Splatoon 3 or Donkey Kong Country Returns. My third guess is any game with Miis.
Since they’ve released the DKCs in chronological order, Returns has to come before Tropical Freeze. A full release of Bananza is probably coming sooner rather than later. I wouldn’t be too surprised if it’s the first full Switch 2 soundtrack, but I’m still expecting Switch 2 Welcome Tour instead.

My bad, I should've worded that better. I did watch the whole thing on YouTube back when it first came out. And it is true that it's definitely not my favorite Pokémon game. I would probably still rate it 9 or 10 out of 10 though.
Okay, that makes sense, thanks for clarifying. You do you of course, but I personally don't like to rate games that I haven't played, even if I'm pretty sure what I'd rate them. Pokémon BD/SP, for example, I've seen and heard enough about to rate them almost for certain (especially combined with my own extensive experience with the actual Gen 4 titles), but I won't out of principle. Even something like an RPG, you can't truly know how it feels to be in the moment unless you have it in your own hands.

Nah, I can get that - there's a common joke with both Pokémon and Zelda that your favorite game will be whichever one you played when you were eight. My own favorite Pokémon games are, unsurprisingly, Gen 3 and 4 adjacent (I started with Gen 4). Emerald, Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, and OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire are all titles that I would give a 10/10 myself.
(I'm generous but not that generous when it comes to game ratings - to put it into perspective, I have just over 20 games that I'd award a 10/10. I also don't play that many games though, to be fair!)
anyways, surely this next release isn't gonna be another switch ost, three is already quite a lot! but also i pray it's not just mario land, they've sorta had an unspoken rule to not have a release go much below an hour in length, so if we do get game boy stuff i hope we get more than one
If there's any short OST that I wouldn't be mad about releasing by itself, it's Super Mario Land. I can loop those bangers forever, they're so good!

@CaleBoi25, Legends Arceus isn't my favorite Pokémon game and it's one that I ended up skipping due to being busy with other games at the time, but I think its soundtrack is underrated a bit. The Mario Galaxy music is awesome too!
Funny you should say that — I've never played a Pokemon game, mainly due to disinterest, but PLA came very close to being my first — honestly, if it gets a Switch 2 patch/Edition, I might snag it!

Legends Arceus is the only Switch Pokémon title that I'd recommend to anyone (hardened Pokémon fan or not) without hesitation. It's really good!

Not really sure what to go on this week other than that it's the longest we've gone without a Zelda soundtrack being added so Link's Awakening, Minish Cap and ehh let's throw in the original Wario Ware in because we got Wario on NSO.
To add to the awarding 10s debate, I have 20 games I've given a perfect score to on this site (so games I played on Nintendo hardware). There would probably be another dozen or so on other platforms so I'm probably averaging about 1 a year.
I don't think a game has to be perfect to get a 10 but it has to offer you something truly special and stay with you long after you've moved on. A big part of what elevates something to that highest tier for me is the soundtrack. A score that really resonates and can bring back all the memories and emotions of your experience playing it makes such an enormous difference. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir in this chat though ❤️

I'm definitely listening to the new soundtrack later! I've been playing the game on a phone emulator, and the music has been awesome so far.

This game is such an oddity in the series and vastly overshadowed by it's sequel but there are some real gems in that soundtrack.
