@Sylamp, congrats on guessing the correct series 😀.

5: The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Although I can think of zero reasons why anyone would have suspected this game. It seems pretty random unless they're getting ready to ro start advertising for the new Yoshi game. Maybe Game Awards will have an advertisement for it. Except the game is quarter 2 so that seems unlikely.
@Dev-N oh I agree, this song is terrible and would easily be in the top 10 of the worst songs in Nintendo games imo
But it's existence is also really funny to me
also this is just another confirmation that anniversaries mean absolutely nothing when it comes to which soundtrack is gonna be added next
Except when they do which has happened a chunk of times.
I'm of the the assumption that Nintendo boss sometimes asks for a particular game or franchise to be advertised via Nintendo Music and the rest of the time the Nintendo Music person just does whatever the heck they feel like.
@FishyS I'm leaning towards Yoshi being the late March release and then Wonder + Tomodachi Life being May. A way to spread out the "Spring" releases in such a way that the 1st half of 2026 is the least samey it can be (2 months between each life sim and 2 months between each 2D platformer) while at the same time taking account that plenty of Yoshi games released in March (e.g. Crafted World in March 2019, New Island in March 2014, Japan release of Island DS being March 2007).
@Grumblevolcano I think it’ll be Mario Wonder in March, Yoshi in April, and Tomodachi Life in May. Mario should be before the movie. Yoshi should be sooner in Spring rather than later since it’s somehow part of the Mario anniversary celebration.
1 Gloom's Lair (Zelda TotK): for some reason, there was a brief era of time when I put this song on many 1 hour loops while doing homework, don't ask me why
2 Welcome to the New World! (Full): Kirby and the Forgotten Land
3 Starlit Journey (JP ver.): Kirby Air Riders
4 Kong Bananza: Donkey Kong Bananza
5 Breaking Through (Heart of Gold): Donkey Kong Bananza
6 Emblem Engage! (English): Fire Emblem Engage
7 Starlit Journey (EN ver.): Kirby Air Riders
8 A Duel with Ghirahim: Zelda Skyward Sword)
9 Battle with the Returned Master Kohga (Zelda Totk)
10 Now or Never! / Deep Cut: Splatoon 3
Half of this list just doesn't feel all that accurate, although some of them, like Welcome to the New World, Emblem Engage, and Duel with Ghirahim sound accurate. Also, it says I've listened for only... uh... 52 minutes this year?! I swear I've listened longer than that. Try 52 hours at the very least.

@Nep-Nep-Freak Was your data collection setting set to not allow them to collect data until recently by any chance? Seems likely they were blocked from collecting your data for most of the year.
Consider checking out my Nintendo Music information resources: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kjn-BwrGzB1JCKdccSBmvoH3tGZiAlsz8wHC1vZJlQ4
@Polley001, not sure. Can't find anything involving that in my settings.
