@DarthNocturnal I realize some franchises have longer gaps. I'm just excited about this franchise making a comeback. It's been so long since we have had an objectively good one.
Looks like an interesting remake, but the only way I'll buy it is if they include a save system. I hated having to play the original from the beginning every time.
God, guns, and guts made America; let's keep all three.

It seems more like a Mega Man 9/Double Dragon IV-style retro sequel instead of a remake, but yeah, I hope they don't go that retro...or at least, not as the default. I wouldn't mind an extra mode with saves disabled. That's fun sometimes.
Playing it right now on the 3ds and beat it but haven't completed it. It feels like a $15-$12 game priced at a $10 game either system you buy it on is worth it.
No 3D or bottom screen map usuage on the 3DS sadly.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
I had beaten the original on NES back in the day. A trip down memory lane, what a difference a strafe button makes. This was way easier than the original.
It's really cool how each player actually uses a character, unlike the main game's co-op where player 2 just controls a cursor that shoots and provides extra items. I can see this boss rush mode being a lot of fun.
