Topic: What chance do I have of Switch repair/replacement?

About 3 days ago my Switch lite would repeatedly throw up a game card can't be read message and error code 2101-0002. I followed Nintendo's troubleshooting guide. On rebooting, new error messages were showing and the volume kept turning on/off. I happened to open the SD card slot and found liquid (but nowhere else). I knew I hadn't spilt water on my lite, though I have been keeping my window open while raining so it's possible humidity may be responsible. Following advice online, I turned my switch off, opened the SD and game card slots and left it in a dry environment for 2 days. Yesterday I tried turning it on, but unfortunately nothing. I left it to charge thinking the battery had run out. The battery charging icon would appear, but after leaving it charging overnight I've still had no luck. There seems to be either a battery leak/fault or water issue. Some sites say Nintendo will cover this and occasionally water damage (if switch replacements are available) and there are repair pages on the Nintendo site dedicated to water damage and charging problems, but reading the warranty it appears both "accidental damage" and any battery issues aren't covered. Due to this conflicting information, does anyone with experience of Nintendo repairs know what my chances of getting a repair/replacement are?

@Zilock Well, the only way to know for sure is to contact Nintendo themselves. You can contact them to set up a repair and go from there. If the Switch is still under warranty it shouldn't cost you much or anything at all, however by opening it up yourself you may have voided the warranty. Again best best for an answer for sure is to contact Nintendo themselves.

@Tasuki Thank you. Yes, it's still under warranty (got it only 7 months ago!) And I haven't opened it up. Will contact them.
