Topic: Switch froze in black screen

Hello, everybody. I've got a problem and I'm looking for someone who can help me with it.
I was playing Zelda BotW and the console froze (dock mode).
I took it off the dock mode and the screen on the switch was black. I tried the solution of pressing the Power button for a while for several time and for 15 to 30 secs but to no avail.
I tried to keep the 3 physical buttons pressed at the same time (power, vol+ e vol-) but also to no results.
The hardware keeps getting warmer as it was being used to the max.
I tried letting it on the whole afternoon to see if it runs out of battery to force reset it. At late night, the hardware was cool, so I figured the battery had died.
I plugged it into the dock again and left there charging for about half an hour and tried averything above again.
The console went back on getting warm and no further response.I've had the console for a month, now and I am getting desperate.
Since I live in Brazil, Nintendo Technical support is pretty difficult, so I am trying alternative solutions before having to send the console to them (don't even know if they do that in my country).
Can Anyone help me out, please?

I had the same problem but i was playing fortnite. I think its a heat problem which could be fixed if you open up your console and and put on some better thermal paste, or its a power issue where the cpu does not have enough power to hold a good clock speed so it crashes the chip. I fixed my switch faster then you did by holding down the power button and then setting it in the dock where it will wake up and go to sleep mode. I may be doing the thermal mod soon with some ARCTIC MX-4 but any non-conductive thermal compound worth anything should work, I would also get some thin thermal pads for the chips close to the cpu. Hope this helps but this is all guessing from previous experience and there is no way to know unless you can read a log or dump file for the crash. And i went from handheld to shutdown to dock.

Well It took 8 months for someone to see my topic, LOL!
Thanks for the tips, though! But I have returned my switch to the store and took a new one. Couldn't get to play through christmas and new years as planned, sadly,
