Topic: Switch dock problem

Hi, I have spent ages searching the Internet for this particular problem but it seems no one else has either had it or reported it.
Basically when I put my Switch in the Dock it only shows the upper left corner on my TV. Its been working fine up until today and I've had the switch about 2 months. I've tried all the usual things like turning on off, checking cables and different tvs but it's still not working.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

I unfortunately can’t help you here. I’m not tech-savvy like the youngsters these days 😆 But I recommend checking your TV. It could be set in a setting that only shows the Left-hand side.

@Gunnerjamesr I haven't heard of that one either. I've commonly seen people here say the switch wont' display on the tv, which is usually fixed by resetting the AC adapter.

Here's the most relevant Nintendo support troubleshooting directions I could find for your description:
(in case you hadn't seen this one)
Image on TV is Discolored, Scrambled, Distorted, or Blurry

EDIT: Support had a second troubleshooting page with the same title that's worth a look.

Yeah, if nothing works, it could mean hardware failure, hopefully it's not that. You could try contacting Nintendo UK. Maybe they've come across the issue, but it doesn't have a support page.

That is a strange issue. I was having different dock problems, which I managed to fix by unplugging everything, connecting the AC adaptor, then connecting the HDMI cable, and then the Switch (the order matters for some silly reason). Do other things connected over HDMI look fine on your TV?
