PS4, Sony first party offers a wide variety of genres and it's getting a crazy amount of indie support. If you want games that aren't shooters (I'm assuming you don't want TPS too?), PS4 should definitely give you more value for you're money.

There are a few indies and a ton more coming, but I'm assuming you want non indie game examples. I haven't played Knack yet, but some people like and some don't pretty mixed in the reception. There isn't much out right now though, but it'll come out. They've got DriveClub coming. I don't know if you'd be interested in infamous: Second Son, it's a superhero action that similar to a shooter with the way you use powers, but I wouldn't call a shooter as much as I would action/adventure. I can't think of anything that else that's not on Xbox One that's out or not coming pretty soon, but if you look at what Sony made on PS3 the support you want should definitely be coming as a see now reason it wouldn't be similar to what they already did. If you don't have have a PS3, you might just want to look at getting one of those for now instead.
Honestly I would hold off on either or till you are able to compare the libraries and see what games are out for each system that interest you the most. Other then that all I can say is if you are not wanting the whole kinect experience then you might want to go with PS4 cause it is $100 dollars cheaper. That's what I did since the kinect stuff really didn't interest me enough to spend $100 more.

Definitely PS4. As a lifelong nintendo fan, I have to admit sony has a superior console this generation. It has the best graphics, price point, third party, second best exclusives to the wii u, social media, and no kinect.

To be honest, this pretty much covers it. So, when ever a few more good games come, then I'll get it. Thanks!

Yeah I can get behind this. Something to add to my last post is I do own a PS4 and I do enjoy it, I mean there are a few games like Contrast and Resogun that are free if you have a PSN+ membership. But yeah I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
