Hello,
I'll try to keep this short but basically my newly bought Wii U just developed some sort of clicking noise today. To describe the noise perfectly it sounds like a clock ticking, one tick about every 4 seconds, I'm not sure if this is normal which is why I'm here asking what this might be? Should I take it back in exchange for a new one? I've tried unplugging / turning on and off again as well as taking the disc out to see if it was the reader in the drive or the disc which was making this sound but the noise in the console still persists.
Help would be appreciated!
Thank you.
Yes, you should.
I don't know the meaning of that clicking sound, but one thing's clear: it's not supposed to be. Exchange it for a new one before something really bad happens.
Yeah, Wii U (and the Wii for that matter) are supposed to be very quiet consoles. If they're making weird noises, something's not right...My Wii made a buzzing noise back then that I for some bizarre reason thought was normal. Months later it got worse and eventually the disc drive just went out. Only experience I've had that I could give as an example...my Wii U is normal. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.

Both my Wii and Wii U make quite some noise, it's not bothersome, but they're definitely not very quiet. I have never seen one that is quiet.
