Topic: Lost clamp during Joycon repair

While attempting to replace my left analog stick, I broke the clamp to the minus button’s flex ribbon! Now the ribbon cable just slides back and forth, and the minus button only works sometimes. Is that part replaceable? If I had a new one could I get the tiny hinge arms back into this flex ribbon port (or whatever it’s called)? And where in the heck would I buy such a unique piece? Any help would be appreciated-

How about looking for a used broken joycon to use for parts? Maybe another one with drift. That part should be ok, since it's internal, I would think.

Yeah, that will work, but I hate the idea of paying around $30 just to fix a minus button. With the Switch's recent surge in popularity, the prices of all things (including broken things) seems to have gone up. Replacing the board inside would hopefully give me new clamps, but is still going to cost approximately $30. I suppose shelling out $30 is a better option than $70 for a brand new pair of them.

@Jagoowa or buy new, and plan to keep what you have for parts? I'm keeping my drifting Pro controller for that reason - because one analog stick is still good. But yeah, that costs more.

@WoomyNNYes drifting pro controller. Saddest part of the switch. I've owned every console with sticks since 64 and this has never been a problem. Really is quite shameful but switches sold out everywhere so screw the consumer
