Hello,

Ive purchased a switch a few days ago, and it's only arrived just last night (less than 24h ago).
I have maybe 3-4 hours playtime on it right now and ive been really careful with it because I don't usually spend alot of money on gaming.

Anyways, the issue.. is that the right joycon's thumbstick is making a metal clicking sound whenever I move it to the left/top.
This isnt much of an issue when I play docked mode with alot of sounds coming from my TV etc or when I plug in headphones into my monitor as it muted out the sound coming from the thumbstick.

But since I play alot of co-op stuff with my friend, and was lying in bed in the evening last night when I play handheld, its really noticable. ive always like the idea of switch's handheld mode. but this sound is making it almost impossible for me to enjoy it. Especially on a quiet night.

Ive looked at some stuff online like the official support sections, but i feel like they'll just ask me to send in the joycon for repair, meaning I won't even be able to enjoy my switch since ive been hyped for it and it has only arrived yesterday.

Im kind of lost on what to do now, any advice or solutions are welcome.

@Aceria2020 Yeah, the joycon analog stick shouldn't click when you're pushing it directionally. That sounds defective. With something that new, I would return the console now while you can, and get another console.

Yes, nintendo will fix it for free, but yeah, that's time consuming, and seems a bit unnecessary for such a recent purchase.
