So I have 2 child accounts for my nephews. I have no restrictions set on them, but when I go to the eshop anything not rated E is blocked? Help??

@Nathanaelerik I only have a second here, because dinner, but I can make recommendations.

Search nintendo support for disabling or customizing age restrictions (in case, somehow that is the issue, unintentionally).

You can call Nintendo's support line (which is good, and easy to get a person on the phone), or try their chat messenger - I'm not clear if the messenger is a bot or can get a real person to help. I talked to a real person once, and what seemed like a bot more recently.)

@Nathanaelerik Yeah, I just had the same thought as Northwind above. If you have a Nintendo Switch Online family plan, when you set up & linked your kids' accounts, you can add kid's accounts two ways.
-Generically "add a child" which doesn't require a new email address.
or
-You created two new accounts with their own email addresses & entered their birth dates.

From what I've heard, I'm worried you may not be able to change their ages/birthdates. But I could be totally wrong. So, don't get disappointed yet! Try for yourself. If that doesn't losen age restrictions in eshop, try contacting Nintendo to be sure. I'll hope the best for you.

@Nathanaelerik download the Nintendo parental app for Apple/iOS. It has a lot more features and can enable/disable restrictions on accounts.

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Nathanaelerik

I did. It didn't help.
I ended up just making them new accounts.

Yes it had to be. I called nintendo twice and they were unable to fix it due to their ages and the esrb ratings on eshop.
