I have two, Nintendo Switch 2 systems but the 2nd one is sitting in a box, never opened.
My daughter has her Switch 2 under her own email address (daughter @ gmail.com) and it's hooked up to the TV in the family room. She pays for NSO+Expansion Pack but not the family plan, just individual membership. She loves playing Donkey Kong Bananza......... as does my wife.
My wife would like me to set up the 2nd Switch 2 in our bedroom so she can play Bananza from time to time when my daughter is playing Mario Kart World or Splatoon on the other Switch 2.
I don't know what to do....
Option 1) Have my daughter use her email address (daughter @ gmail.com) and set the 2nd switch as her secondary one so my wife and I can play games she's already downloaded. (My wife will have her own profile on there and we'll link it to mom @ gmail.com.)
PROBLEM: If my daughter buys DLC for a game under her profile on the primary Switch 2.... on the secondary Switch 2, my wife wants to play that same game under her own profile... the DLC won't be available, right?
Option 2) set up the 2nd switch 2 under me or my wife's name and just have my daughter upgrade to the NSO+Expansion pack Family plan, add us to her plan and then do the 'virtual' gamecard sharing thing.
MAYBE NOT A PROBLEM?: I think going this route, we -CAN- use DLC that my daughter purchased because according to Nintendo, loaned out games come with all their DLC so this is the way?
TLDR: If I have two, Switch 2 consoles, what is the best way forward so every game/DLC my daughter downloads onto her main Switch 2, will be available to my wife and I on the second Switch 2 and everyone's save data will stay sync'd on both systems? Because one day, my wife might want to play Donkey Kong in our bedroom and the next day, she'll want to resume her progress on my daughter's Switch that's hooked to the TV in the family room.
I know that when you launch a game, it will ask which profile is playing it but I can't understand the pros/cons with sharing games when a 2nd Switch is involved.
