I think I put some credit on to my account on my 2DS, but the screen's broken and I don't know how to get it back. I've checked all my email addresses and can't find the account it's paired to.

Do you need an email account in order to add credit to a 2DS? If not, is there anyway of me recovering the credit I put on there? The credit is less than the cost of replacing the screen and I don't really use it now I have a switch so I don't want to do that.

I hope that makes sense, thanks

@p1peractive You can't do anything with eshop without an email account. You can't access eshop, or add money to your eshop, without a Nintendo account on Nintendo's website, which requires an email.

If you can access eshop on the 2ds, then that 2ds is already linked to a Nintendo account (and an existing email address).

EDIT:
Nintendo support might be your best bet. Contact them. They can control some stuff with your nintendo account. But they'd need your email address to find & access your account.
