I'm sending this message on behalf of my son who we bought a Nintendo 2DS for at Christmas. It included Pokémon Sun. He now wants to buy a different game, so added money to the bank. Unfortunately, he doesn't have enough blocks, and doesn't want to delete Pokémon Sun, so......
1. Do we just buy another bigger SD card, and is that even possible ?
2. If so, how do we save the progress on Pokémon Sun ?
I hope the terminology is right ! Banks / blocks etc....!
Yes, you can buy a new, bigger, SD card and use that instead. It's easy.
First, remove the SD card from the 2DS and put it in your PC.
Then move all the folders from the SD card to the PC.
Now remove the old SD card from the PC and insert the new SD card instead.
Move the folders from the PC to the new SD card.
Remove the new SD card from the PC and insert it in the 2DS.
Guys, what are ye ? Only brilliant ! Thanks so much for the info. I was only guessing about an SD card and had no clue. I really appreciate it and he'll be delighted.
Be sure to create backup copy of the SD card in your coumpter in case anything goes awry in the transfer proccess. It goes without problems 99% of the time but it's better to be safe.
