We've had lots of discussion regarding our favorite multiplayer games, but nothing regarding the maps themselves, so I figured we could discuss them here! (They don't have to be online maps, if you want to reminisce about fond N64 MK or Goldeneye memories, go ahead)

Here's mine:

10. Sub Base (CoD: MW2) - Let's be honest, I love snowy maps. It really feels tense watching out for foes while the snow whips around.
9. Archives (Goldeneye 007 Wii) - The claustrophobic halls of this map were perfect for sudden & shocking shootouts.
8. Outpost (Goldeneye 007 Wii) - Here's another one I like mostly for that tense snowy atmosphere.
7. Outskirts (CoD: WaW) - It felt almost surreal battling it out in what was once a quaint village. I just really felt that this one was always unique.
6. Highrise (CoD: MW2) - It was pretty epic doing battle on the top of a freakin' skyscraper! Also, it felt pretty sweet when I found my way on the crane on the outskirts of the map, sniping foes.
5. Castle (CoD: WaW) - This easily is my favorite map from a FPS. I really enjoyed exploring every nook & cranny of this ancient Japanese castle, and the blossoming cherry blossoms on the steps were a cool touch.
4. GBA Battle Course 1 (Mario Kart series) - I actually never played this on the GBA, but it's easily my favorite map in MK7, mostly because of it's similarity to my number 1 spot.
3. Rail Temple (Kid Icarus: Uprising - This is THE standout multiplayer map in KI:U, IMO. There's nothing quite as exhilarating as whizzing around on the rails, blasting foes as you slide by.
2. Funky Stadium (Mario Kart Wii) - This map is just pure, unadulterated fun. It has the intense fun of a MK battle, mixed with the high flying antics of a Tony Hawk game.
1. SNES Battle Course 4 (Mario Kart series) - It may be mostly nostalgia, but I can't get get enough of this course. It was fun BSing with my family & friends on the SNES game (loved getting red shells to orbit player 2, lol), and those fond memories come flooding back everytime I fired it up on MKWii. My strategy always revolves around constantly driving around the outermost part of the map, avoiding the frenzy in the middle of the map, quietly collecting coins (in coin battle), and with eyes glued to the map, I blast anyone venturing out into my territory. I don't always win first, of course, but 9 times out of ten, it's a positive outcome for me, rankings wise.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
