so despite the great booking at the PPV, the turn still sucked.

Who turned? I really didn't understand who was supposed to be good or bad. Orton lost it and went overboard, which is a heelish action. Christian spat in Orton's face, which is a heelish action, even though I liked it.

A tribute to the NEW and GREATEST champion the WWE Title has seen in ages, CM Punk! Finally getting to shine as the main eventer he is. And the storyline behind his rise has made for the most interesting storyline also in ages! I hope he's still with WWE, and shows up at the end of Raw tonight to create a WWE Title controversy! Either that, or throw the Spinner Belt away al a Medusa Micelli when she joined WCW, on his first TNA telecast. Straight edge, Pepsi and Cobra FTW!

I highly doubt that they will let him do that. That was the one of the main reasons for the Montreal Screwjob. Vince didnt want Bret to do the same thing as she did. Since than when someone leaves the company and has been a champ he has it that they can never do that with one of the WWE titles if they go to another company.

Here's Vinnie Mac's attempt at Montreal Screwjob II, Punk's win and escape with the WWE Title. Love Punk's look at 2:47. Looks like a deranged Edward Norton in "Fight Club", hee hee. Give that man a bar of soap to go with is WWE Title!!! Oh yeah. I like Pepsi! Not sure how long this video will stay up, if anyone wants to see how it ended last night.

@Tasuki
I'm actually glad to hear that. I've followed the WWE/WWF Title for so long, since the days of Hogan in the mid 80's, that I'd hate to see the title disrespected like that. I don't think Punk would do that anyway. I'm not the biggest fan of the Spinner Belt design, though.

So now I am wondering was that an official changing of the guard so to speak or was it just storyline?

Triple H hearts Vince McMahon, ZOMG! I just threw up a little in my mouth... I can't see Vincent K. McMahon disappearing long-term. He still has far too many years of troublemakng left! Maybe just a break from TV appearances for other stuff going on in his life. What's bothering me is where is the WWE Champion, CM Punk? Maybe he is gone (sheds tears). Forget Miz & Mysterio. To be the man, WOOOOOOO, you have to beat the man and CM Punk is the man!

Great RAW. The show was already strong, what with the focus on the title, and actual quality wrestling matches, and then the end segment was awesome. I was mildly suprised by the subtle TNA reference, with Cena saying he'd show up on "someone else's show...brother!" Totally didn't see the Vince "firing" coming, though once HHH came out, it was obvious where they were headed. Still played out great, and Vince's tears made for a great moment.

@Tasuki
Vince's "firing" is worked, though there have been some recent backstage changes, including new creative team members, and some additional office peoples being brought in for the day-to-day stuff. I think Vince is slowly pulling back from his ultra-hands-on position, until eventually he'll be more of a general CEO of the company rather than the "buck stops here" guy on all decisions. But right now, the "changing of the guard" so to speak is just storyline.

@BetelgeuseWC77
Punk is gone from WWE, for the time being. His contract expiring is legit. He's most likely just going to sit out for a while (a la Jericho), then eventually return. As i think someone here mentioned, i'll bet they go with him showing up sometime next year, claiming to be the "true" champion.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.

That'd be cool for Punk. To return with the RIGHTFUL claim of being the "REAL WWE Champion". Like Ric Flair did with his "Real World Champion" line he ran with upon joining the then-WWF circa 1991. Hopefully, he'll get the push he deserves when he returns, and fans haven't forgotten the life he brought back to WWE these last few weeks! Maybe he'll return with the Spinner Belt somehow altered (would be funny with the Pepsi Belt above I found at IGN LOL) and use it like Ted DiBiase used his Million Dollar Belt! Straight Edge Title (heard someone once used an "FTW Title" in ECW LOL).

Orton is just the heel that fights the other heels.

wrestling is weird, don't think about and thank god it isn't like his previous run as a face

Looks like HHH was going to be the mystery GM. Surely the mystery GM story is out the window with all that's going on now.

Alls I know is CM Punk could restore balance to The Force, bring World peace AND convince Nintendo of America to release Xenoblade, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower! Don't make Punk GTS you, Reggie! Give up peacefully and maybe he'll let you live!

BTW, speaking of Punk + Nintendo, CM Punk had tweeted or posted somewhere (yesterday i think) that he wasn't going to be at RAW, because he was going to be sitting on his couch defending the WWE title against Piston Honda.

Heh heh heh! On top of resurrecting WWE, he's a Nintendo/Punch-Out!! fan! If I were a chick, or gay, I'd want to marry him. Since I'm a straight dude, I'd like to talk hot chicks, sports, and video games over a nice cold one. And when I say "one", I mean Pepsi. And not necessarily Pepsi One. Could be WIld Cherry, gold ole regular, Diet, or Holiday Spice Pepsi, if they were to bring it back (THAT WAS THE STUFF!!!). When he returns to the ring, whether it's WWE or wherever, how cool would it be to see him one-hand Pepsis thrown to him from the crowd, like Stone Cold used to snatch beer out of mid-air?

In case anyone hadn't heard, the REAL WWE Champ, CM Punk, was at Comic-Con. He crashed a WWE panel there and had an exchange with Triple H... A verbal one anyway! It is a brief, but great exchange (funny stuff from both Punk and Triple H... love the Stephanie reference ). Could this be where the road to Wrestlemania and a Punk/Triple H co-main event begins? At any rate, this has to be evidence that Punk is still with WWE, even if "unofficially" right storyline wise. Listen to the POP Punk gets when they know he's in the room. And this is San Diego. Not Chicago! CM Punk is not just your WWE Champion, he is your new wrestling God! All bow in reverence!!! YouTube below...

Oh... guess he successfully "defended" the belt against Piston Honda, LOL!

Ok CM Punk is good but you are going a bit overboard. I wouldnt call him a wrestling god either.

Maybe in terms of skill set, he's not quite Ric Flair or Bret Hart. But in terms of mic skills and connecting with fans, IMO, he has become a phenomenon! Not sure when the last time anyone has been cheered like he has lately.

I stopped following wrestling for a while because it just became mediocre in my eyes. Until Punk revived interest these past few weeks from many like myself! I have several friends online who also feel like he's helping bring WWE back (of course, can't forget the creative team that put this together either)! I don't feel like just anybody could've pulled off what he did!

And you don't have to be a shooter or genius technician to be a wrestling deity. Look at Hulk Hogan. I think the only moves he's ever had are punching, kicking, clotheslining and, of course, the big foot/legdrop of holy death (eyeroll).

And, I for one like what he represents with Straight Edge!
