Well of course I had far-fetched hopes for my Mavericks, but we'll always have 2011. I still think the Spurs are the team to beat. The Heat easily win a weakened East field, but there's little chance they can beat the Spurs, or an OKC team good enough to somehow topple San Antonio.
I'm going with the Spurs all the way. I'm a lifelong fan who lives in San Antonio, so this should not be a surprise.
I think the only team left in either conference that could pose any kind of threat to them are the Thunder, so that will definitely be an interesting match-up if it happens (which I think it will). But even though they're the only other team left in the playoffs who have yet to lose a game, they haven't managed to do that in anywhere near a dominating fashion as the Spurs have.
As for the East, I'm not sure if the Heat are the sure thing anymore without Bosh. They've lost both games without him so far, so losing him might be bigger issue than most people initially thought it'd be. Not saying they're definitely going to lose now, but I think it now puts them on a more even par with an underrated Pacers team. As for the Celtics and the Sixers...eh. This is definitely the least interesting match of this round of the playoffs, and while it seems like the Celtics should win, you never know.
