Topic: What Is Your Notification Tone On Your Smartphone

Chances are, if you are living in 2025, you have a handy little device called a smartphone. It can do a ton of cool things, and even makes a noise when it wants to remind you about something.

My question today is... what have you set your Notification tone to? Right now, I have it set to the Purah Pad activation noise from Zelda TotK (I also have a Shiekah Slate activation noise from BotW as well). What about all of you?

Depending on the situation, it's either the "got an item" sound from Pokémon Gen 1, the 1-up sound from Kirby, or the level clear sound from Mega Man 2.

My ringtone is the PMD Boss Battle theme (specifically the Explorers version) and my notification tone is the Metroid Prime Expansion acquisition jingle.

The shortest, most non-descript little beep possible out of the default notification sounds on my phone.

My notification sound has been the Dragon Quest 3 SNES battle win chime for a couple of years now. Ringtone is the Smash Ultimate mix of Big Blue. I did have it set to Calling from Twewy at some point because I thought it would be fun, but I just love Smash Ultimate Big Blue too much.

I rarely have my notification sound on these days so I haven't changed it from the default on this phone, but maybe I should, there's some good ideas in this thread. On my first phone I had the Zelda 'der-ner-ner-NERRR!' jingle as my notif tone, it was really loud though.

On a previous phone it was a soundbite of Kirby saying "Hi!" that I'd ripped from Kirby Triple Deluxe, but I've not yet got round to putting it on my latest phone. I need to get to that.

But my ringtone has moved onto my current phone, and it's a track from one of the levels in Kirby Triple Deluxe, which is no coincidence because I originally ripped all the sound and music at the same time and had a session going through it all to find what I wanted for my phone.

Whatever the default is for my phone. Not that it ever plays since I have no friends. Just joking, I keep my phone in silent mode.

When it's not on silent, messages are the coin sound effect from SMB1.

"Normal Calls" - Final Fantasy 7 Fan Fare Theme.
"Incoming Call from my Brother" - Shaw Brothers Opening Banner Theme.
"Incoming Call from my Mom" - Darth Vader Theme.

My notification sound is a cash register "ka-ching" sound because it was the funniest out of my phone's default noises. My ringtone however is the beginning of The Third Sanctuary from Deltarune.

I just have the regular "ding" that's default on iPhone. As for my ringtone however, it's Can't Stop The Feeling from Trolls.

Mine is the 1Up sound from Super Mario 64.
