@ Super Mario Man This proves my theory that 12/13 year olds are more immature than 8/9 year olds. (or 10 in this case). While Sonic Master is man enough to say both that he likes Pokemon and is still a kid, you say pokemon sucks solely because you're trying (too hard) to be cool, and back it up with the "evidence" that you are 2 years older than him. In fact, you're very much so implying that Pokemon is for kids, thus proving how childish you really are. In reality Pokemon is a decent (but not great) RPG that is easy to play and thus enjoyed by children too. I have owned at least one game from every generation and while they haven't changed since G/S/C it's still fun to play, and I'm turning 16 this year (not saying that I'm the best because I'm biggerer than you, just that you can still play it when you're in Year 10). I can't wait another 2 years when I'll finally be able to say "I win cos I'm a growed-up!" That will be 很 ossum.
@ Castle Hominid I'm sorry, but it is physically impossible to have a game better than TWEWY without stealing elements from it. Please provide evidence to back up your contention. EDIT: Forget that. I just saw the guy above me write "EarthBound."
original Tales of Phantasia, SNES release. While, nostalgia wise, it's a tough choice between Chrono Trigger, FF IV, FF VI, and FF VII (all respective milestones in my, and general, gaming history) I've probably played through the original Tales more times than all of the above....everything above the game was way ahead of its time.

I couldn't possibly pick one, though if I did, I might be strongly tempted to pick Skies of Arcadia Legends. Also love Mother 3, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Lufia 2, and too many more to list here (big RPG nut, especially for the good old 16-bit days).
Also, this talk of 10, 12, and 16-year-olds is making me feel old at 20. Will some of you older guys please post your ages in this discussion to ease my pain? (I want a winking AND razzing emoticon!)
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P
I played the heck out of it. In a sense, it reminds me of the original Zelda. I always found the people living in blocked off caves and other trees in a world overridden by monsters on the surface felt strongly apocalyptic. The sense of discovery and the suddenness with which you find dungeons (or whatever the "dungeon" concept takes the form of, in the case of Fallout 3's many different locations) is also quite similar since there are no hints most of the time to their locations.
Though it's pointless to compare the two, Fallout 3 is easily my second favorite game after Brawl for this generation. There are a lot of little things about it that bugged me though and it eventually got tiresome, but only after an embarrassing number of hours.
@ Sonic Master I like you because even though you are too young to know what the word sarcasm means you are more mature than most people older than you, and can admit that you are only young and aren't king of the world. Also you have a fluffy avatar. I want to pat it. And trust me, my home's better. We can share my DS games.
@esposch thanks! I guess this means we're friends now. oh, and I do know what sarcasm means, but I used it in the wrong place. i should have said i was joking.
@esposch what ds games do you have? Make a list. I 'll make one now. They're in order of when I got them. Pokemon Diamond Nintendogs: Dalmatian and Friends New Super Mario Bros. Mario Kart DS Sonic Chronicles Pokemon Platinum
