@Ryu_Niiyama I noticed some clothing clipping and bad mouth sync in Resident Evil Revelations 2. Both are pretty noticeable when they show up but I suppose it is excusable since they are somewhat situational.
Maybe games with lip movement should feature a "Star Fox" option for speaking. I would rather have the lip sync be terrible or near perfect than something in-between.
I was going to make a whole post about this, but I realized it needs more thought before I do that, so I'll just put my initial musing here.
I hate when publishers/developers label a game series with a genre that doesn't make sense. It just makes the whole process of finding games a player might like more arduous. Sony calls Uncharted an Action-Adventure game, and Nintendo calls Paper Mario: Color Splash an Action-Adventure game, but I don't think anyone who wanted more of the former would find it in the latter or vice versa. Uncharted doesn't have much actual adventuring (outside of well done aesthetic theming), and Paper Mario: Color Splash doesn't have much action.

To be fair, genre definitions are often broken when you find the right games. Action adventure is just the most obvious example of that, since that genre name doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Not just in video games either. The most popular songs in music genres nowadays sound like they're from entirely different genres. Rock is electronic pop, Pop is alternative, Country is pop/hip hop, and singing is now rap if someone who calls themselves a rapper does it. Or for something that's affected both games and music, how being indie has almost nothing to do with actually being independent. EA has published indie games, the word doesn't mean anything anymore.

I think that's my biggest issue. People don't take genre definitions seriously, to the point that it breaks the definition and is of no use to people.
The thing is I feel like Action-Adventure has a pretty obvious implied meaning. It's a game for people who are looking for a gameplay experience heavy in action and exploration. So Metroidvanias, Zelda and Zelda-like games, Sandbox games, and some action RPGs (western and japanese)
I've actually used music genres to find music pretty frequently (a couple of years ago I realized I really like Blues Rock for example), but you are correct in saying that that the broader definitions are basically useless. If it charts, I pretty much assume it's pop, rap, or bro-country these days.
