Want to know an Underrated Gem no one talks about?
Front Mission
I like Front Mission, but outside of the mechs, I can't think of anything about the series that stands out. If I'm gonna play a Mecha strategy game, I'd rather play Super Robot Taisen Original Generation or Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars instead.
One criminally underrated game is DK: King of Swing. That game is so much fun to play and one of the best GBA games and yet you hear NOTHING about it. Everyone should play this game or at least give it a try.
I think it may have suffered somewhat by existing on the shadow of the Mechwarrior franchise, but I thought HG was a great game itself. It allowed for a lot of customisation of your Gear (read: robot) and had a fun campaign, although it was admittedly fairly short. It also had a campaign mode, where you could pick missions to your liking and success in those would gain your side extra ground on a world map. Not bad for 1997!
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

...eh...
like the gameplay was ok...but the music was really lame and the graphical style felt like a poor, poor man's Yoshi's Island. It's an interesting game, but it feels too limited to be a full game really. If anything it would fit well as a Nintendo Land game. If you want to know why no one talks about...it doesn't have a lot of people who played...and actually really liked it. At least from what I remember. But more power to you I guess?
The entire Katamari series deserves more buzz than it gets in the video game world.
When it was first out, it actually had some almost mainstream-like buzz, like a lot of people talked about the game, even if it wasn't necessarily a huge seller. But that's true, no one talks about the games anymore. Shame.

How is Liberation Maiden underrated? Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but it just came out two weeks ago.
Shouldn't we, you know, actually give a game a chance to sell, before claiming it's underrated? (Also, it's gotten a very positive critical responce, so it's not underrated critically, either.)
