I know the title sounds crazy, but apparently Hostess, the company that makes Twinkies, is filing for bankruptcy. Take a look.
The article says that Hostess' brands are up for sale, but that doesn't means that those delicious cream-filled Twinkies are safe yet. A penny for your thoughts?
EDIT: I realize that this thread is a one-trick pony. I am now changing it to a place where people can post and comment on news. Please, refrain from posting about political matters, opinions of various news sources/casters, and disturbing subjects. Have fun!
Your true face... What kind of... face is it? I wonder... The face under the mask... Is that... your true face?

I think it's probably a no-brainer that the brands will be bought by a stable/strong food manufacturer like Nabisco or Kraft or someone like that. There's far too much name-recognition of the Hostess brands; any company that can feasibly purchase them will jump at the chance.
For those with a sweet tooth, it means that not only might Twinkies go away, but possibly CupCakes, Ding Dongs, Ho Ho's, and SnoBalls. The Hostess umbrella also includes Merita, Nature's Pride, and Wonder Bread. Nature's Pride is my preferred bread brand.
The news I've heard/read states that 33 bakeries, 565 distribution centers, 570 bakery outlet stores, and 5,500 sales routes will be closed and shut down. iirc, I think that amounted to about 23,000 people.
Kinda. Around 2000, when Philip Morris bought Nabisco, it was subsequently merged into Kraft. Recently Kraft split off their snack food division (including Nabisco) into another entity (Mondelez).
I am old, so i always think of them of them as separate entities altogether.
