Which PC game developer has been the most influential and innovative? Valve (Half Life, Portal, Left4Dead) Epic Games (Unreal, Unreal Engine) id Software (Doom, Quake)
Dead or not, Sierra was still an incredibly influential developer for the PC.

Infinity Ward hasn't really done anything innovative in PC development.
Innovation is: id creating the FPS genre Valve setting new standards in cinematic gaming, and combining first-person perspective with puzzles (Portal) Epic standardizing game engine development with the Unreal Engine etc.
Well I have to say it Blizzard for its RTS games like Starcraft and Warcraft series, and for its MMO World of Warcraft. Whether you love or hate them you have to admit the belong on the list.
