@Nep-Nep-Freak why not discuss the source of disagreement? I feel that’s more productive than not closing off the smallest hint of misalignment, I don’t advise expecting every interaction to not have this. where did you work to base your disagreement from? If it’s only second hand experience then that’s very limited. Your profile implies you haven’t been employed yet. I’m talking from first hand experience personally.
Playing Xenoblade, feel free to add me on switch or steam.

Happy Birthday, Yoshiaki Koizumi! One of the best employees part of Nintendo. And still a part of the company after 35 years in it.
He's 58 years old at the moment, and is one of the younger veterans at Nintendo right now, but I can only wish him the best because of what he has done for the brand. ^_^
Nintendo veterans like Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma (developer for the Legend of Zelda series), who are also still part of the company, watching over some of the company's IPs they have made and providing feedback when need be, are certainly a little over their retirement age and may be calling it quits soon for their careers for all we know. So here's hoping someone like Koizumi is the one - or one of the people - to continue Nintendo's 40 year legacy of unforgettable and amazing gaming experiences!
If anyone's not as aware of Yoshiaki Koizumi's work for Nintendo, here's a brief article Nintendo Life posted today on their website. It should give a good idea of what he's best known for in his career: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2026/04/today-is-nintendo-l...
Webmaster of Voyage of Across Many Worlds and write articles about Pokémon and other games I've enjoyed. As well as work on a game project as a rookie dev. Site in profile.
The Tomlan in my name stands for traveler of many lands. It's used to partly describe who I am as a person.
(Apologies for the delay of this reply, we had to drive home from Wednesday church and I don't pay for mobile internet, so I had no internet for a while, then when we got home I had to load dishes from tonight's supper 😂)
@Yousef- You actually want to talk about it? I'm actually surprised, considering some of the other online conversations I've seen about the topic 😂. I just thought that if I debated with you further, it would cause some friction. But I do like sorting out differences via peaceful debate, so if you want to talk about it some more in a peaceful manner, then sure, here are a few points:
Yes, I am currently employed, I started my very first part time job this spring (it's how I was able to get my Switch 2 recently).
As a libertarian, I belive in the importance of the free market, and in a free market, companies need to exist.
I also believe in the importance of any person who owns a company being able to fire whoever they wish. I'm not saying it doesn't suck, because it does, but perhaps there is a good reason for it, like the extra hands and having to pay those hands isn't necessary to meet the quota, or something like that. If I were a boss, and I could save a bit of my money by laying off a few people and still be able to meet the quota that I want, then I would certainly do that. It's just smart business, although it does suck for the people who are laid off.
I believe that in a free market, there are no "evil" corporations unless they are breaking laws that exist for a good reason or actually treating their employees like slaves (like actually whipping them or blocking them from escaping, not like how some people complain about being "treated like slaves" when they are still being paid and aloud to leave their job whenever).
A company exists to make a profit (they gotta pay the bills somehow), and to create products that some people enjoy, and others do not, and they also pay workers, which means that those workers can spend money on products that they want, and as such, money flows around, and generally, the more free a market is, the more money flows, and more money flowing is a good thing. And for anyone who doesn't like a company or a specific product of a company, they just simply don't buy that product, try to convince others to not buy said product, etc. For example, I really dislike Visa and Mastercard because of what they did to Steam last year. Because of situations like that, I will intentionally not rely on their services unless absolutely necessary, and will definitely not go into credit card debt and have to give them my money from that (though I also just don't want to go into debt in general aside from an eventual house mortgage). But that doesn't mean that I believe Visa and Mastercard have no goodwill at all. We just... don't see everything eye to eye 😉.
Without companies, the products that we enjoy everyday would certainly not exist. The fact that these companies make all these wonderful products (which some people don't like some products, and that's absolutely okay: an example is my dislike of credit cards and censored media), and hire other people to help them and pay those people for their labor is in and of itself an example of goodwill.
